For pretty much being pure black figures, they look good. I think a paint app here and there would have pushed them even further. I do like that there are variations in the tint of the black in areas. The solid color highlights how good those molds are, and the figures work well next to Vader.

Great photos. I got this yesterday and my scout trooper has super warped knees. Other then that is a very good deal for the figures and the figures look fantastic.
