I'm guessing the Chewbacca is just there as a reference or are they going to seriously release old Chewie. This also shows that John Boyega's character (named Finn apparently) will not be wearing his stormtrooper get-up the entire movie. Also that droid damn well better be just an accessory and not a figure on its own. To finish I'll note that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver's character supposedly and the dude with the mixed-feeling lightsaber) gets his helmet revealed here, there's also concept of it out, which is very Darth Vader inspired yet trashy like he based it on Vader but didn't have much to work with. Andy Serkis said he really wants to have a toy for his character (and so do I even though we've only heard from his character narrating so far) because I really quite enjoy his work.

I hope we get some more 6" OT figures before these (at least the main group of heroes and some fan favorites), or they could maybe call this something other than the black series and release them coinciding. This movie doesn't come out for like a year, so we could get a Lando and a more generic Leia by then.

I may get this line... if there isn't a good 3 3/4 line.

Can they not come up with better looking characters and costume designs? The guy on the left doesn't even look Jedi-ish or Sith-ish. The skirt would look better on Aunt May.

Somebody pointed out on another site that BB-88 resembles a Weeble.

Got into a psuedo-argument today with a member of the 501st about the authenticity of this picture, they said they don't believe anything unless it's on the official Star Wars website. Umm... hello... the official Star Wars site wouldn't post info about leaks!!! (rolls eyes) :D

I am guessing since Chewy is in the movie they will most likely use the same figures with a new face sculpt. Most likely a mouth closed sculpt. And I hope the Sith looks better in person. Not digging the wicker basket look.

And yes looking at the Chewy on my desk, it looks like the shoulder strap is a different sculpt and the mouth is more closed. I am guessing that is why they are still the white sculpting color.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Hasbro's planning on releasing a remold of Chewie for the new movie - at least based on this pic.

I'm both excited and nervous about a new SW movie, and the merchandise too. It remains to be seen if I bother collecting any of the 6" figures from the new trilogy or if I stick to my OT-only rule.
