Tony Stark (WIP)

just something i've been meaning to accomplish for a while, resculpted parts of Matt Trakker's face--reduced his square jaw and recessed his brow. was good practice for painting face details and i think it came out decent. i tried to emulate a bit of the Salvador Larocca look on him but not too much. his hair makes him look like a retro 70's Stark now all that's left is to find suitable arms paint his garage suit

body is Air Viper commando with ROC cobra commander pants. still no forearms. will post the kitbashed body once parts are complete ;D

ShawnDustin 06-14-2010 08:27 AM

I smell a big IRON MAN fan! Nice!

eisen 06-14-2010 08:31 AM

hahahaha, it's one of my guilty pleasures, shawn :D

ShawnDustin 06-14-2010 08:55 AM

Optimus Scourge 06-14-2010 11:17 AM

Lookin good!

astig 06-14-2010 12:24 PM

cool! i like how he really resembles tony stark in the comic books. nice work! keep em comin! =)

eisen 06-15-2010 04:33 AM

and here he is 80% done. still need to retouch some areas, add a detail wash, and seal with matte finish:

Tarquinius 06-15-2010 05:24 AM

I like your rendition of him. A lot of people seem to do the Tony Stark/Robert Downey Jr version of him with all the fancy suits. I'm glad to see that someone is doing something outside the box

eisen 06-15-2010 05:35 AM

thanks, i actually wanted a workshop look for him, since he'll just be pretty much surrounded by his armors in my display :)

g1fanatic 06-15-2010 11:33 AM

Yeah, that Stark is cool looking. Nice work.:)

ludovicotek 06-15-2010 04:18 PM

Wow. I love how he came out. Gotta agree with Tarquinius. Really like the workshop Tony idea.

Holy shizz, I saw the face and said "okay, this looks pretty neat..." but then I saw this picture and my jaw dropped. Much kudos on taking my favorite superhero and making a great alter ego figure of him!

Excelsior07 06-16-2010 11:16 AM

Eisen, once again, I'm floored. This NEEDS to be made en masse. Just beautiful.

eisen 06-17-2010 06:03 AM

irondestro1975 09-11-2010 12:40 PM

love that tony stark figure

miketime 09-05-2011 06:17 PM

That looks pretty sweet. I wish I had the talent to reshape and paint a face.

Do Boy 09-05-2011 06:22 PM

Oh man, this looks awesome!!

sasmysquatch 09-06-2011 08:53 AM
