Any Dino Riders collectors out there?

I'm new here so hope I posted this in the right place?

I have a few Dino Riders and was just curious if anyone else out there collects them?

This is probably one of my favorites..

Sadly, I don't have the space or money to actually "collect" the line, but I was and remain a HUGE fan of the line and concept. Had a HUGE swath of the line, including the Brontosaurus (but not the T-Rex or Diplodocus, oddly), in my youth.

With all the increased attention to Dinos thanks to Age of Extinction and Jurassic World, it just makes me sad that Mattel, of all companies, ended up with the rights to Dino-Riders.
And will never do a damn thing with them.

That looks nice. I remember seeing them in my youth but they were too expensive for us back then. Lot of dinosaur fans out here actually. I just realized if they do revive it and make modern ones, those might be too expensive for me now too. Providing they do actually make something out of the property - just like what Steevy Maximus said.

Ahh...Dino Riders. Now here is a subject very warm to my heart. In this age of reboots and re-dos, this is one toy that deserves another shot. (And it has, right under our noses. I'll explain in a moment.)

As for the Dino Riders, I must have been a spoiled child, because I had them all, from the T-Rex to the Brontosaurus, and no longer having them rates as perhaps my deepest regret in all of my years as an adult collector. Sadly, all I have left to show of my once proud collection are these guys, Croc and Locus, who were the pilots of the Kentrosaurus, which was perhaps my favorite Dino Rider of all, although the Rex and Torosaurus were very close seconds.

And now...this is the part where I play the devil's advocate and say that Mattel is doing something with the Dino Rider license, it's just that it might go unnoticed unless you check ALL the aisles at your local toy store...

I give you this beauty...by Imaginext (a property of Fisher Price, which in turn is a property of Mattel.) Bears a little bit more than a passing resemblance to the T-Rex up on the back of the Monoclonius's box art, wouldn't you say? The rider is a bald dude who's basically a human version of Rulon Leader Krulos, while the Rex wears armor with cannons on his back, and robot arms to assist his tiny ones (although those are on the shoulders, as opposed to being on the Rex's belly like the classic DR toy.) And if that wasn't enough, the Imaginext Rex even wears a helmet. Rulon brain box anyone?

The Imaginext stuff is actually really cool, and I hope it's still around when my son is old enough to have these types of toys. While Dino Riders might not exist in name, it's definitely alive in spirit and I can't wait to eventually get my hands on these for my own selfish reasons when he's of age.... :)

I've known about the Imaginext stuff for a while now, but it's just not the same as getting a realistic dinosaur with monstermen piloting them :p

Not sure I'd count the Imaginext guys when talking about Mattel though, those guys have been doing some freakishly AWESOME shit the last few years.
Hell, they even managed to get out a freakin' WALTER WHITE figure recently!

Again, the big appeal of the original line was the "museum quality replicas" that the original Dinosaurs attempted to be, cartoony dinos just aren't the same...

Ive been looking to start collecting them but they are very hard to come by and bring a pricey tag.
