Figure Lightsaber Replacements

I've been trying to track down hilts for 6" Black Series figures for a while, and for some reason, I've had the same problem. While I've seen people cast the individual hilts before, I've never seen anyone who actually casts the lightsabers.

As for finding extra basic lightsabers...what I've done in the past is buy up General Grevious figures wherever I can find them, which at the very least tend to come with two generic handled lightsabers, (and up to four lightsabers if you buy certain versions of him...) Mission series figures (the 5POA 2 packs that used to warm pegs everywhere) were also great ways of stacking up lightsabers, as they often came with 2 characters that used them.

What I thought of last night was taking the extra un-ignited saber, take a spare ignited saber, get it casted in desired color, and the saber part off to attach to the un-ignited version of the saber you wanna put it on. I only recommend this if you're really picky with the types of lightsabers that your figures use. E.g. Luke NEEDS to have his lightsaber.

Also, I'm not too familiar with the casting game so is it possible to get translucent color casts?
