Post denied
 

Okay I used many other websites from this network during the past, but this is new and annoying:

Whenever I try to post a reply I get this error saying that my post has been denied. I would link the screenshot, but I can't. It says I can’t link stuff (makes sense, but I don’t do that) or use "spammy words", I have no idea what that means. Sorry, English isn’t my first language.

So in order to get my posts through I just delete entire sentences or the quote I answer too, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Can someone explain to me what I’m doing wrong? Because so far I had to use a lot more time getting my posts through then I’m comfortable with. And if this continues I probably just end up asking myself "Why even bother?" and never post here again.

We have been experiencing an extremely high level of spam bot posts (thousands at a time), causing me personally to spend hours cleaning up the website every morning. We implemented very heavy handed protocols to try and curb this. We have a list of words and phrases that will deny a post. I cannot share what those are. However, I do apologize for any trouble it's caused, but it's a necessary step on our end, unfortunately.

I can understand that. Guess I’ll try to find out the words I shouldn’t use on my own.

The restrictions will automatically lift after a set period of time. It's mainly in place to stop new members from spamming. Again, sorry for the trouble. We're always exploring more robust, and less intrusive, solutions.
