The figure looks great. I'm very glad they're doing this figure too. I hope it sells really well.

Why wouldn't they have done it? I think it's pretty obvious this was getting made from the get-go.

IMO that looks TERRIBLE. The face sculpt is WAAAAAAAAY off and there are no pictures of her even posing, which is always a bad sign. Idk, I'm not sure why they even let that one through.

AGREED! It's not a bad sculpt, it just doesn't look anything like Gal Gadot. A "newly developed female body" with seemless joints. Interesting. PHICEN makes some nice 1/6 female figures with seemless joints that has nice articulations, but the fact that Hot Toys is not showing her in any kind of pose IS a bad sign.

If it's still an early prototype, then they may not have cut the articulation in yet. They didn't even post a release date this time, so it's likely a long ways off.

The head sculpt is pretty spot on. Unfortunately, the hair kills it and throws off the entire thing. Here's the sculpt direct from JC Hong.

The finished product may not be the spitting image of Gal Gadot, but I think it's quite a remarkable figure nonetheless. The Chinese have been retailing 1:6 figures with skeletons concealed inside pliable polymer "food grade skin materials" for at least the last couple of years, and now Hot Toys seems to be taking the plunge. I'll be particularly interested to see the elbows in different poses.

That head sculpt is pretty bad. Her eyes are way too small and beady.

Also, from what I remember of my sister's barbies growing up, the knees were seamless and they articulated. That makes we wonder why they haven't improved on that and made it more present in figures now a days.

I agree. While the this figure looks amazing overall. The rooted hair hardly ever looks natural and hinders the overall appearance of most of these amazing female figures.

Looks really good. Only problem I think is the hair it dosent look well on it

Panthro1978 03-23-2016 12:22 AM

Nope. Haven't seen that. (Covers eyes) LALALALALALA.

I need one.
