S.H. Figuarts Krillin likely to get a re-release?
 

I didnt start collecting the Dragonball z figuarts till very recently so i have missed out on the release of alot of the older characters. However krillin was always my fav character as a kid and i really want him. So does anyone think i should pay the quite high price for him or wait and hope a re-release comes along? Same goes for any of the higher prices characters like the androids.

IN MY OPINION...i don't think any that you mentioned would get a re-release anytime soon..mostly because they weren't released THAT long ago. Krillin especially has a significance to my collecting because I was in a comic shop once..maybe 2 years ago..and they had a Krillin for sale for 40.00 At the time I was like..damn that's a lot..AND never really knew which lines were ongoing to collect (before my knowledge of Figurarts)
I WISH i had purchased him at that time..but didnt'...i think I just purchased Krillin about 4 months ago...had to bite the bullet because i wanted him.
I splurged on Freiza..because i wanted him...and the other I really want but don't wanna spend right now is Cell. Hoping he gets a re-release since he is a major villan...

SIDE NOTE: one thing is they seem to be holding their value well. SO....for example..if i did purchase cell (which is about 200.00. and i found out they were releasing him again...i'd go right on ebay and sell the one i have and i'm sure i could get back the same.. IF NOT MORE..than what i paid. I don't care about them being the originals...i just want the figure.

Thing about re-releases is that it has to be a regular release figure in Japan. If it was a web exclusive, which most of them are because DBZ is more popular in the US than in JP, then if there is enough demand, they would do a recolor/redeco of it. Like they did with SSJ Vegeta and Sword Trunks.

Krillin was a web exclusive. So any further release of him would be a different color or different outfit altogether.

Wow you really missed out with that comic book store krillin. Freiza is another character i really want but i got a bootleg of him just to have on display. If your not that bothered about the real thing then the Datong Freize is actually a good bootleg. I might just have to pay the money for krillin because i really do want him.

MANNNNNNN LISTEN... if you check the DBZ thread...you'll see i went on and took the Datong route for Vegeta (the first one) after doing extensive research...I was like...man..just go with it..
BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE.. man it looks exactly like the regular figures and added to my collection NICELY..there is no longer a need for me to spend all that money on that figure....
If they had a bootleg Cell...i'd be on that bad boy like stank on doo-doo.....lol....If it's the EXACT same mold and decent paint...I have no problem with it...

I might have to look into more of the Datongs then cos am happy with my freiza

I know this post is old, but I just got I to these a couple weeks ago. I'm glad they're going to have a new Cell coming out, going to get Nappa and Vegeta too

I just watched some reviews of him and I plan on getting him, I've also heard there's a bootleg version of Krillin
