WIP S.H. Figuarts dbz blast effects

So I have four wip sh figuarts dbz blast effects and I need some help figuring out how to paint them I'm trying to paint them while still retaining their transparent nature

Airbursh with translucent paint if available, or use a permanent markers.

A friend of mine has made some amazing translucent flame effects with just hot glue and markers

How long do the markers last?

He uses colored sharpies and I think he just bought one colored set and has never replaced them.

They are permanent so they should last a good while

Thank you now that I've got a couple colored I'm obsessed lol. They're pretty easy to make
