Sega Genesis Flashback Console
 

Sega and AtGames are coming out with a retro genesis console to be released in September. It will include 2 wireless Genesis style controllers, the ability to play original game cartridges, and include 85 games, and HDMI compatible. Hopefully it won't be as hard to find as the NES Classic.

Wasn't this called the Mega Drive in the UK or am I getting mixed up? Too long ago to remember, lol. If it's the Mega Drive, I loved that console... Streets of Rage was a favourite!

Yes you are correct site. This was called Mega Drive. I grew up in Dubai and I remember it was called Mega Drive. Later when I came to the US, I saw the 'genesis' and I'm like man it's the same thing.

God I love SEGA. Love them!

I've read that the Genesis Flashback doesn't emulate the original hardware as well as the NES and SNES Classics, and several of the built-in games are generic shovelware that were included to inflate the number to 85.
