something real odd about having a fully articulated statue so well known for that particular pose. once he stands up he's no longer "the thinker." whatevs, still neat, just odd.

I always thought that those type of figures were done as a demonstration that the sculpt and deign resembles the human anatomy more accurately. But yea, don't see much of a use outside of it..... maybe for fun photos where the "the thinker" raises his head in a eureka moment lol....
