I want that exact Beast in figure form.

I'm sure we'll get him soon enough. These are neat, but the sculpts look super soft to me.

In the mid-1990s, when the X-Men cartoon was first-run, there was a series of PVC figurines, probably in 2-inch scale, that you could find in comics shops, including the one I worked in. These statues look just like those figurines, if slightly more detailed; they're even posed pretty much the same. For some reason I can't find pictures online, but I'l keep trying.

The series included Rogue in a seated position looking like those chrome mudflap "babes". I think I still have that one someplace.

okay, I still haven't found pictures of the exact Beast and Cyclops I remember, but if anyone cares the figurines were made by Applause -- a company that appears to be defunct -- and were about 2.5 inches tall (or so).
