NECA Predator customs, custom dreads?
 

So, I’ve decided to finally start back up on some NECA Predator customization concepts. Been looking into mold making to help with some of it, and the biggest stumper now is how I’m going to make custom pred-dreads. The problem is that they have to be super flexible or the custom pred can only look in one direction.

One idea I’m mulling over is making the mold like you would for Liquid Plastic 325, but instead using a high temp hot glue gun with colored glue to fill the mold with. But I’m wondering if that might be too fragile, like if it would just snap when bent by head movement. Anybody got ideas? Maybe some liquid plastics that turn into really soft plastics instead, made for this kinda application? Are there good brands of liquid RUBBER?

I'm sure there'll be plenty of learning through doing with this, but I figure it's always better to go in with more info.

i just found out about this, Sugru, it's "modable glue".

You basically shape it into what you want and wait a hard to harden. But it doesnt harden to being rock solid, it's actually a bit flexible.

Do some research on it. It comes in black so there will be no need for painting it. Well, it comes in several colors so if you want different color dreads you can have them.
