Ebay question.
 

Ebay question: I have purchased 2 figures, from 2 sellers, and on my purchase history page in the little blue box it says Guaranteed delivery Oct. 27, which is today. One just got to El Paso and the other still shows in Cincinnati. Yes I know about the box that comes up for tracking when you click the number and it says Estimated Oct. 29, but the word Guaranteed is an 'absolute' word, just as 'estimate' is not, so if they could not do it, they should not have used the word.

So my question is: If the packages do not arrive today, what is my guarantee worth and who do I get it from?

It's still only 17th of Oct, I'd wait for it. Some actually arrives late afternoon/early evening. Or talk to the seller,or go to eBay Help.

Also it could be guaranteed to be sent by that date and not necessarily guaranteed to arrive by that date.

I'm fairly sure this is an arbitrary date created by the parameters that were given when the listing was created (like handling time and type of shipping) which is not always accurate due to the way ebay automatically checks certain boxes based on listing details.

Lastly I do not think that guarantee is worth anything, no one can guarantee an item will arrive as shipped and could be lost in the mail and that's why there is shipping insurance. Ebay wouldn't cover anything like that.

I am in Pasadena, TX. Inbound packages have to go through the North Houston Distribution Center. That requires a minimum of one full day and they do not show arriving there yet, so they definitely will not arrive today. I am just saying because it is the first time I really noticed that and I started to wonder 'guaranteed by who?'

Consider the floods that have affected Texas. Don’t know if it’s a different route your package might have taken because of that.

I am not worried about them getting here. This is just the first time I really noticed the 'guaranteed' and I wondered guaranteed by who?
