Bill and Ted Action Figures

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure Figures by Incendium Online

usernamedustin 02-27-2019 09:57 AM

Ok. I am not going to spend $30 on a render. I need to see an actual product before pre-ordering. What will the joints look like? Where will they be? How will the faces look? These are all questions that should be answered before asking for money.

Black Arbor 02-27-2019 10:48 AM

30 bucks a pop? A scale no one's collected since the 90's? A license that's already been done better and cheaper by NECA? What could possibly go wrong!?

Dormamu 02-27-2019 11:59 AM

I know these are renders, but they look like Bill and The Walking Dead Ted.

lol

Reminds me of when I'd see Beetlejuice toys go on deep discounts wondering what toy execs thought there would be a huge demand for that?

Tomax 02-27-2019 03:11 PM

John wick becomes Ted after losing his job with the assassins guild, its a sad outcome. Bill and ted is actually John wick part 4, they did the sequels reversed.

ShabbyBlue 02-27-2019 03:20 PM

I might have opted to get these if they were in the preferred 6" scale, as a good plastic alternative to the MEGO style figures NECA did last year, but at 5" scale it's a definite pass. This company should know that 6" is the trend right now.

Sciencefriction 02-27-2019 05:33 PM

10 points of articulation, are they trying to be funny? 5" scale? Yeah, I LOVE Bill & Ted, but Ted looks weird. I get the impression they're cashing in on some kind of vintage toy nostalgia market and don't really care. Pass. What a shame no one has done Bill & Ted stuff like ML. I'd definitely buy a bunch of stuff from Bogus Journey, that movie has some toyetic moments. Like the good Bill & Ted robots, and Station.

Foreddyn 02-27-2019 11:19 PM

The collectors are already saying these are garbage. They need to shift gears on these. Either size 'em up but don't make them retro if they size 'em down.

Joe Moore 02-28-2019 04:47 AM

On Twitter, the company said that these two are the first in multiple lines. The first offerings are based on the old Kenner toy line. They also claim to be working on film based versions as well, which will be different than these, They also teased an announcement for another classic license. So, I'm playing the wait and see game.

Nyctoyman 02-28-2019 06:30 AM

Bogus!

I have no problem with the 5” scale. What is lame is the meager 10 points of articulation, and the $29.99 price tag. I wouldn’t be surprised if these figure don’t get made.

dukefett 02-28-2019 09:54 AM

I don't think $30 each is bad personally considering how niche the movie is, but I still need to see a prototype before ordering.

Are double-hinged knees useful without ankle articulation? What about a waist? Are these aimed at adult collector's or are they children's toys? They kind of seem to go for both and fail at both.

ShabbyBlue 06-09-2019 10:55 AM

It was bad enough that they made this in a scale nobody really wants, but the sculpt on this looks too simplified and cartoony. Definitely not worth the price they are asking. It should have been a more movie realistic depiction like what NECA or McFarlane would have done. How can they justify that price when they are clearly not even paying likeness rights to the actors to sculpt their real faces?

It's always nice to see a company take a step outside of the 6" ghetto.

Mang ook 06-09-2019 10:12 PM

I don't understand with company who can make double joint but cannot make other joint double, at least for the price they should include double joint elbow, and the face is a joke for that price.

Dolemite 06-10-2019 05:07 AM

These look barely worth $10, let alone $30. Pass.

ShabbyBlue 06-10-2019 09:32 AM

Yup, easy pass on these too. They look slightly better than the awful Bill and Ted figures, but still not worth the ridiculous $30 price.

Wonderful Toys 06-10-2019 05:51 PM

I don't see any problem with doing figures in the style of 80s/90s Kenner figures, though doing that amount of articulation without going all the way seems like it would just disappoint both the vintage crowd and the realism/articulation crowd. And the $30 price tag is way too much for figures modeled in a vintage style with relatively low articulation.

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure Phone Booth by Incendium - The Toyark - News

I've also added a quick photo gallery of the Bill and Ted figures to this news post.

Well, a playset can make all the difference. Maybe I’ll jump on those figures after all. I like the neca retro figures, but the limited nature of the w exclusives turned me off, plus I reall want ultimates to put by Marty and Doc. Plus the Superman crowd may be jumping for this. Might work with 6”?

Will this be up on bbts as well? They have the figures.

It'll probably be too small for 6" figures, but Palisades made an incredible phone booth accessory for their Super Grover figure that works perfectly with 6-7" figures!

Meta 05-06-2020 09:19 AM

Okay, this may make me want to get the figures now as I loved the time traveling phone booth the most in the movie. What I'd love to see is figures of the Grim Reaper and the robots Bill and Ted make at the end of the second movie. That would be awesome.

It should probably end up on BBTS at some point, yeah.
