DST Ronin Statue
|
I understand it’s Hawkeye and all, but I wonder how many people will be confused with Ronin the Accuser and Ronin the Despondent Hawkeye.
|
I don't even understand why they're taking Hawkeye or Black Widow along to fight Thanos. What the hell are they going to do?

As far as the statue, I actually like this pose compared to the other statues I've seen so far. And these aren't terribly expensive like Iron Studios. Iron Studios is about double the price of this, and I suppose you do get better detailing for the cost, but for those that don't care about that type of thing, I like the DST ones. |
Except I just realized 2 things:
1. He is on a roof top of some sorts? What is the significance of the "B" emblem sticking out on the bottom left there? It's obviously some sort of light up sign but seems really out of place. 2. The colors on his suit don't match lol. Most everything else shows the "gold" color on his legs/arms being the actual color used as well on his hood/suit trim. This has a separate "bronze" color on the hood/suit? What's up with that? |

Yeah, they are pretty much useless. Like Aquaman. They should stay at Avengers HQ making sammiches for when the REAL heroes return. |

I found it sort of quaint how the Russo brothers scraped the barrel to find ways for Widow and Hawkeye to appear useful during the NYC invasion -- and of course these two square off against each other in Civil War, when more powerful characters could obliterate them with a gesture... Supposedly, Scarlett Johansson is a fan favorite, though I'd much rather see more of Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill or Jaimie Alexander as Sif. Talk about underutilized characters and cast members...! |

These same commoners aren’t going to notice an “a” or an “i” and the merchandise will be confusing to them. Yeh, the film will probably explain the new name for Hawkeye... if they even use it... I think they only call him Clint or Barton in the movies. (Ps my Autocorrect corrected Ronan to Ronin... I knew there was a spelling difference, my spellchecker didn’t... however it is my bad that I didn’t catch the change) |
I seriously doubt they're going to refer to Hawkweye as "Ronin." Hell, they don't even call him Hawkeye, really. He's just Clint. No one will be confused.

I don't think many casual fans could even remember the name of the bad guy from Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't think anyone will be confused.
And whether they have a bow or cute ninja swords or dinky little pistols, Hawkeye and Black Widow will be just as useless as always: |
