Hiya Aliens APC - Photo Review
 

Holy crap. This thing is pretty astonishing. I usually give Hiya shit for how long they take to get things to the market, but the APC looks to be worth the wait and then some. This price is pretty crazy, but I think it's kinda worth it.

Great job capturing it, Joe. BTW, you mention that the monitor lights are on the dim side...is the APC set up so an enterprising customizer would possible open it up and mod it with with a brighter bulb?

Probably yeah. The panels are glued, but I don't imagine it would be too difficult to pop the console off to get to the electronics. I imagine customizers will have a field day with the interior stuff. Everything looks like it could potentially be removed if you wanted it to.

It looks pretty amazing, but 300 bucks for a 3.75-inch vehicle of this size just seems too much for my taste. :-(

Interesting, loved the APC since first seeing back in the '80s & own a number of models/toys. Aside from the gray deco (should be an olive green) & the huge size, this would be nice to have. Cool if you've got the room.

I would like to get it but the three hundred price tag is a killer. Anyone have any of the marines for trade? You can find my trade list on hisstank.

I absolutely love it. the attention to detail is like all things hiya.

pre-ordered it when the price was low(?) and I'm not regretting that decision at all.

my only reservation is the cage(s) around the canopy lights and the tow loops/handles(?) on the top are made of extremely thin plastic where I think metal wire would have been much more appropriate and sturdy.

I also agree with joe that the mud splatter detail is a little aggressive, or just too centralized on the wheels, and not much on the body. less overall, or more overspray on the body down the sides would have achieved a better look.

all and all, this thing is a towering home run for a toy this size.

now all I need is every single character no matter how minor.
