Very awesome! The first Dog Alien (while really good) was really limited in the posing it could do, in reference to the typical poses it made in the film (and the puppet and models were able to do from the production).

Pre-ordered.

Ehh... This isn’t ultimate. This is less for more. The only new things sculpt/wise that immediately jump out to me is new double jointed knee articulation and better range of motion at the neck. Otherwise this is the same figure from before.

The two new accessories while appreciated don’t really add much especially when the previous Ultimate Alien releases each came with an egg and a facehugger along with the chestbuster.

They really should have just added these two accessories to the creature pack and just rereleased the Dog Alien with updated articulation. It’s great for those who don’t already have it, but not at that $30 price point.

I agree. The added articulation is great and all, but two itty-bitty accessories aren't "ultimate." That and NECA's odd and oft-repeated "all-new sculpt" claim (when its clearly just the original figure with some alterations) are getting into blatant false advertising territory.

I wonder if it's going to be like their previous Dog Alien that was prone to breakage?

I got both the original run figure and the video game repaint and had zero QC issues. Even then I remember hearing about the stand breaking more than I heard anything about the toy itself.

If I can pull off these poses, I'm satisfied.

Plastic still has its limits, especially when the difference in size is accounted. That said, the original dog alien figure can get into some pretty crunched up poses. The range of movement on the head and neck is the main limiting factor, so hopefully this release will upgrade that.

Ultimate is a joke now! :mad:
Before, ultimates used to be the ultimates versions of a character.
Now they put only 2 poors accessories and write Ultimates on everything they release. Not to mention character in almost ten versions.

Ultimate my a**.

Besides, the head is way too small. The first release doesn't suffer from that, so I'm good. Try again, NECA.
