New Ace Ventura Figure by NECA
 

I tend to grab NECA's MEGO style figures with the tailored soft goods. But for me I personally felt like their first Ace Venture figure would have been better just fully sculpted clothes and all like their Predator figures, etc. I guess I'd prefer they do both versions of these figures, a fully sculpted figure and then a figure with soft goods clothing. But they probably wouldn't sell well that way.

At any rate, pretty cool we're getting another one. Always want more figures from other random films that wouldn't otherwise get figures.

Did the first one really sell that well to justify another? It looked like a guy putting on a high school play performance of Pet Detective :D

Neca is having trouble with Jim’s likeness. My wife is a huge fan, and likes this figure.....so there’s that.

Yup. They're 0 for 2 so far.

the second head, "goofy version", invokes jim's likeness well. The first one, not so much.

Overall it looks fun. So cool they are showing so much love to the movie and Jim. Jim's energy and commitment back then was second to none. NOBODY has reached that level still.

What do you think Jim Carrey? I know you are watching this forum.

Damn. I thought the likeness was pretty spot on. This figure more so than the original.

I feel it haves to do with paint. Idk I feel NECA haves trouble at painting human looking characters or live action based movie figures if people since the paint isn't as smooth as you would like it to be. Still I agree that the likeness is well on the goofy face then the normal one.

Yessss, physical comedy specifically! I should have said that. There are a few other comedians just as great at that time for other reasons.

UPDATE! : pre-ordered it. There will never be another, right? who would make this?
