Help with Neca batman 1989 cowl repaint
 

Hey guys..please guide me..i need to repaint this game version batman cowl to make it look like 1989 movie version cowl. Please let me know the paint brand/type to buy.

Definitely go with an acrylic. I'd say to use a semi gloss, but honestly, it depends on how shiny you want the hood. I've found that semi gloss paints tend to go on the cleanest and look closest to the natural look of the figure, but that's all preference.

As for paints, I use Tamiya or Model Master, which can be found online and in hobby stores, but again, that's a personal preference. Every customizer will tell you something different. Just be sure to look for semi gloss, as many of these companies will feature paints in flat, semi-gloss, and gloss shades. They do make a difference in the look.

Whatever you do, do not use enamel paints. Those are meant for models in most cases, and if you do, you will do nothing more than ruin the cowl and create a mess.

Thanks brother for taking out time for such detailed message. Im completely zero when it comes to painting figures. Sure..i will go for semi gloss black acrylic then.maybe i will use glossy yellow for bat symbol. Thanks a lot again. Really appreciate.
