LJN Dungeons & Dragons plastic quality

I Don't know if there are a lot of old school collectors on this site who even know what this line is, I just started collecting it about a year ago and I can find almost zero info on it online, I've noticed so many variants (hook horror's feet springs to mind) what's stumping me is i keep seeing pictures of broken wings on Tiamet and the other winged figures online and for the life of me I can't understand how the wings could break, the ones I own are rubbery and I feel like they could survive a steamroller, is there a hard plastic variant on the wings that I don't know about?, any info on this and any other variants would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Also what the Hell is Northlord supposed to be? is he just some dude with gigantism? Is there a race of giants he's supposed to be representing?

This. Same goes for the Ogre King and the other giant guy whos name I forgot.

Hoping Super 7's "brain melting" announcement next week is going to have something to do with the LJN D&D line.

I would love to see super7 do some new LJN style figures or even a 6 inch line but I have a feeling they will be going with characters from the animated TV series.

I can tell you what i think Ogre king is based off of, he looks like the original monsters manual artwork for the ogre and the ogre mage (Japanese ogre) mixed together

Who ever sculpted the young male titan looks like they got confused by the original monsters manual artwork and created the figure based on the Human standing at the titans feet

You could have different quality plastic from either a running change in production or in the case of the same figure being produced at different times, factories, etc. My money is on plain old dry rot or brittleness from age though. Depending on temperature fluctuations, UV light, etc., 2 otherwise identical pieces could have crazy differences in condition.
