Was wondering what was up with the weird shoulders, then I realized they molded in short sleeves so they can repaint it as his first costume later.

If theyd just painted flesh on the arms that are bare it would been okay because when he wore this type of outfit they were bare.

Uhhhm, yeah. That would have been a much better solution. This kind of reminds me of ML Scorpion’s unpainted face from several years back,”no no! It’s no supposed to be exposed skin.”

Designincase 08-27-2022 03:35 PM

In the red suit his arms aren't exposed. So it wouldn't make sense for a comic based look. Though the solution should have been not to use those elbows. Not likely they don't have smooth ones from another figure.

Now for BTAS Tim Drake, this could work as his arms were exposed. Just paint the shoulder pads black.

I might do that but keep the red skin.

Shit you’re right. I just remember this color robin suit from the old dcuc grundy wave but you’re correct he DIDN'T have exposed arms. Mcfarlane screwed the pooch on this one.

It always bummed me out that DCUC never made a proper OG Tim Drake Robin so I really hope they indeed do a repaint. But this sculpt/paint looks real odd like that.

Actually they did. It was in a two pack with Batman. I have it and it’s great.

Is that the TRU one that is just a re-release of the S3 sculpt with super limited articulation? That's the only one I know of, and because it's just the S3 sculpt, in my head I always forget it exists and don't think of it as DCUC. Absolutely glad you're happy with it thought. I just personally would like a proper update.

Oh yeah! I forgot all about that one. Thank you for reminding me. Still not a proper Drake Robin, IMHO. And again, happy for those who are happy with it.
Point being, I just really want a real OG Drake Robin... and then if McFarlane does an Impulse and Superboy, I will be so happy to have an OG Young Justice. :)

We still need a wondergirl in jeans and mia dearden. Plus conner in his leather jacket outfit.

Absolute pipe dream Young Justice figures for Red Tornado (the most possible), FA Cassie Wondergirl, Secret, and Arrowette.

Wish he was in his classic outfit with the red, green and black color scheme

I’m getting annoyed at the damn exclusives. Target, Walmart, Amazon, mcfarlane toy shop. I wish there was a picture checklist of all mcfarlane dc. I keep looking for one and only find old pics.

Yep don't fall for it. The company wised up and started pushing out some "alt/off color" schemes as exclusives and gold labels so they can make more sales before giving us the regular colors. They learned from their poor sales of unwanted older gold labels. I bet there will be an accurate colored Az-Bat and Tim Drake in the future.
