Wow. These are nice... perfect old school facesculpts. Only thing is... I kinda like Remake Tifa's outfit with the black undershirt and stockings better than her original outfit... must be the 2B effect. Aeris is perfect though.

Liking these, especially at this scale (which I think suits Square better given the crap quality of joints in the Play Arts scale). I liked the Secret of Mana III figures for sculpt, but they also had their issues. Hopefully these simpler designs will have less issues.

Would it kill Square to put out some figures from Final Fantasy games OTHER than Part VII and their umpteenth spin-offs?

I'd love to get some figures of characters from FFIV, VI, and VIII for a change, but for whatever reason, Square keeps ignoring them, and going back to this well. I'd argue that those games as a whole were better than FFVII, and I'd take Kefka over Sephiroth in a fight anyday.

I mean, you may not like FFVII but the fact is it's the most iconic and popular game in the series so of course it's the one Square focuses on the most.

And given the fact the Remake was a hit and we're getting more of it in the form of 2 more games, a remake of Crisis Core and some mobile games... you REALLY think they won't take advantage of the fact that FFVII is back on the spotlight?

Tifa release Jan 2023, with Aerith Dec 2024? I would think it would be closer than that. That's like a two year discrepancy.

Just checked the square Enix store and tifa is scheduled for April 2023. Crazy that she was announced after cloud and his release date is November 2023.

Ah, it says Aerith will be released at the same time according to that site. Makes more sense than waiting two years.

I know people complain about the prices, but it's nice to have figures based on the ORIGINAL designs at 1/12th scale.

What's jarring is how Square is releasing other Final Fantasy Bring Arts figures for lower prices. Final Fantasy Tactics Brings Arts, for example, are $95.99 USD, while these FFVII ones are $129.99 USD each, even for the less expensive, none NFT version.

You can see the price hike in their Play Arts Kai FFVII Remake line since previous waves.

I think Square Enix is really just riding high on FFVII right now. It doesn't seem justified in principle. I assume these price hiked products are still of the same quality as previous waves in the same line, be it PAK or Bring Arts.

The price hike at $129.99 seems to be solely at BBTS.

They're $92 at most Japanese e-tailers. Of course there's also shipping involved so you will pay more, but it will still come in a little less than BBTS.

Really like how they look, but not enough for me to buy them with the asking price.

Price is fine if they come with way more accessories. Like Spider Gwen comes with a ton at similar price. But a 5 inch Tifa with a stand and 3 extra hands = $100+ dollars? No thanks.
