Wolverine finally won't have crooked claws that falls out? Hallelujah! Passing on the Storm and Magneto figures because their heads are wonky.

Jester 07-21-2023 11:54 AM

Where's Cyclops?

He's not on the card art, either. Neither is Jean. Did something happen to them at the end of 96? I never watched the show

so redoing animated figures without the crappy "cell shading".

Unsubliminal 07-21-2023 01:00 PM

From what Ive read, jean might be pregnant in the show so maybe they werent allowed to spoil that and maybe cyclops has been working on his dad bod?

Huh? Magneto's head looks great. What do you find wonky about it?

I kinda feel the arms look a lil longer than they should. And i was hoping erik woulda been in his outback gear, same with logan. At first rogues green jacket looked weird (wasn't it brown in the show?) but i k8nd like it. And shes got a beautiful face sculpt. I wish gambit had two heads, one with normal hair and another one with that windswept look. Bishop too could have used an alternate long haired head.

I have the 3 pack version and this new version has basically the same weird elongated helmet look. I also have the Mafex Magneto and the proportion is way better.

This is probably why they abandoned their VHS series line....or said taking a "break."
X-Men 97 is way to similar. They could give extra heads to make the original series, but they will probably make you double dip in the future when they continue the VHS series.

Can't recall off the top of my head, but the 1/18th line has a Cyclops figure.

redfox 07-22-2023 11:39 AM

Hmmm, seeing these on the shelves will probably make it or break it for me. They look nice, but I really don't need all of them again....or do I???;):p
