Big action figure collection got passed to me…Help!
 

I need some help from you guys. We had a close friend pass away a few weeks ago. His wife gave us his action figure collection and I have absolutely no idea how to sell this stuff. Is it even worth money? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I found out the hard way when my son wanted to sell his Funko Pop collection to buy a computer, that opened ones aren't really worth anything. I think I ended up selling a lot of 60 of them on eBay for around $200. Most of the DC McFarlane figures shown here aren't anything too sought after. For those, I'd probably put them together as a lot and try to get $250-$300 for them. That's about half of retail, so it might work.

If you don't want to sell online, you could always look for a toy show in your area and talk to all the vendors there to see if they are interested.

Adding to what's been said, I don't know anything about Pops. The DC figures you have are pretty much all opened, and I don't see any rare ones in there, so like SpasticPlastic said, you probably won't get too much money for these. The Gundam kits, if unbuilt, might be worth something, but again, I don't see anything super rare in there.

You could also see if there are any local brick-and-mortar toy stores with "Buy, Sell, and Trade" business models. I suggest doing some Google map searches to see if there are any in your area. You can also try the Toy Store Guide and enter your state.

I'm sorry for your loss. Can't imagine how hard that must be.
