"Spirit" of Grayskull:
To help celebrate the return of Masters of the Universe toys to collector's shelves, Mattel has created a special variant of their San Diego Comic Con exclusive King Grayskull™ action figure as a "Spirt" which will forever live in the walls of his castle. Only two editions of this all-clear version of King Grayskull™ were made for the public. One was raffled off at SDCC 2008, the second was auctioned for charity at the 2008 Dream Halloween event.

I'm just glad they chose that one as the raffle/auction one rather than the "statue" variant. Translucent toys are cool and all but that aged bronze effect on the other one is totally kick ass - it's good more people have a chance with that one.

I know about as much as you posted. I was there for the raffle and I'm not sure it went to an actual fan but I dont' think I saw it on ebay so that's good.

Ugly IMO, I'm fine w/ the regular painted version.

15k?! Jeez.

the thing that got me is the $200 shipping. i know that you want to make a profit but that is just a take ridiculous. i mean if you are expecting $15000 for a toy that is graded 8 of of 10 i think the rough estimate of $32 shipping is something you wouldn't mind paying out of pocket. ;0

Oh, come on. He wants that much for this? I don't think I've ever heard of any action figure, AFA or not, that has sold for five figures. And with that shipping cost on top of the bid, I would expect it to be delivered by Brinks and armed guards.

But what do I know? If someone is willing and able to pay what he's asking, then more power to him.

Apparently he ended the auction early with no bids. Even with knocking 8k off the BIN price, I still think it's too much. My guess would be around $4-5k with free shipping could be a successful auction.

I believe the item sold for $7000 off ebay.

There's also a guy who is casting these from an original Greyskull figure. I don't remember where I saw the link to his website, but he was doing the bronze version as well. He may have even had one on EBay, but I don't recall for sure.

it sold for 525 bucks?!?!?! for a CAST figure?!??!...geeeeeeeez serious sellar win.
