I dont care about this line if they dont fix their 3 3/4 figures styling and do them right, otherwise Im staying away from it...looks like the classics series is using the same molds as the DCUC figures, doesnt bode well for the smaller scale to me. *fingers crossed* I want them to be good.

I do too man, fingers crossed.

its Mattel so I have no expectations other then they will be crap if they keep the sculpt style the same as their other 3.75 lines. DC doesn't compete when it comes to the marvel lines like Iron Man and MU, Thor, and Captain America .

Well to look at the half full side of things, as I'm wont to do with toylines. The Avatar 1/18th line while not spectacular was a giant step in the right direction. The DCUC style hips with ball jointed knees and ankles were a tonne better than the neo DCIH sculpts. I actually like them more at the 1/18th scale than on the larger figures. To make a figure on par with what Hasbro is turning out at that scale all Mattel really needs to do is make them a bit bigger (like 20% more plastic) to be in a similar size range as what Hasbro does at 1/18th and add in a few more P.O.A's per figure. Like a ball torso and neck, with wrist swivels. If they did that the move GL figures would be a competitor toyline to Hasbro's Marvel 1/18th offerings. (IMO)

Can't wait to see pictures at some point. Otherwise I don't expect much from the 3.75'' scale figs if they're anything like what's been released by Mattel's other lines.

Green Lantern Battle Shifter dlx figure
Green Lantern Fig and Vehicle Asst
Green Lantern Hal Jordan vs Parallax
Green Lantern Power Slingers Assy
Green Lantern 10" Galactic Scale Fig
Green Lantern 3.75" Basic Figure Asst
Green Lantern 6" Classic Collection (due January)
Green Lantern 6" Movie Masters Figures

I'm interested in the 3.75" line ONLY if they use the same style as the earlier IH, or if they make completely new molds more on par with MU. I can't stand the "fully articulated" molds that came out with the Public Enemies sets.
Also interested in the GL Classics (Have both waves preordered) and the Movie Masters. These will be the focal point of my collection.
Interested in the VS Parallax set, and the vehicle line. And the "Power Slingers" sounds like it could be interesting. Sounds like it will be the roleplay line.
Don't care about the 10" line, unless they release a character that I'd be interested in.

At HISS Tank, someone mentioned that the WWE team at Mattel might be doing the 3-3/4" GL line. Those guys have a great sense of scale and their sculpts are top-notch, especially compared to Jakks, and DCIH. Cross your fingers it's Mattel's WWE team working on the small scale GL stuff.

I'll have to give them a look the next time I'm out. I didn't even know Mattel *had* a wrestling line, to be honest.

It's pretty good man, I only collect some of the Elites so far, I plan on getting some Legends figures eventually. The Elites/Legends & upcoming Defining Moments figures are all fully articulated. The basic figures, and regular 2 pack figures have t-crotch. All in all, the line is FAR better under Mattel's hands in my opinion, compared to Jakks. With Jakks, the Great Khali and Rey Mysterio would be the same size. Even in TNA, everyone is the same size save for Samoa Joe, but even then, he is the same height as everyone!

With Mattel it's different. Kane and Undertaker tower over Mysterio. Marc Henry is big. Vladamir Koleslaw is bigger than someone like Randy Orton. Articulation is great on Elites/Legends.

I wanted to collect WWE figures for years but never started until Mattel got the WWE license.

I have no idea of anything you said, lol.

Im really looking forward to the green lanten movie toys. especially the movie masters! such a shame they dont have a superman returns movie master figure to go with the batman and upcoming green lantern one too.

hopefully their 3.75 figures will be cool. the batman ones were ok but not great. aslong as they look nothing like that dreadful infinite heroes line!

I think the Movie Masters will be great, and I agree about Superman Returns, I really would have liked to get Superman. I don't like Superman much at all, but I loved that movie. It got a lot of flack but it was still very well done.

The 3.75" line is rumored to be by the WWE design team of Mattel...who does GREAT work on their WWE line(s).

Crazy Jetty 11-16-2010 11:39 AM

Wow... I thought *I* was the only one who enjoyed Superman Returns!

nitewing73 12-07-2010 02:18 PM

I'm definitely in for the 3.75" figures. I'll use them to supplement my DCIH collection.

Let's hope they turn out well.

rob_charb 12-07-2010 07:34 PM

I'm hoping we'll see some pictures of the figures soon. I really hope Mattel upped their game with the 3 3/4" line.

uberlad 12-07-2010 07:55 PM

I agree that the Avatar-style articulation was a step in the right direction for Mattel, but I want the figures to be in the 4 inch scale, with a minimum of 13 points of articulation. Head, shoulder (arm), elbows, wrists, hip (leg), knees, and feet/ankles. I don't think that's too much to ask.

I'm glad to hear that Mattel's WWE team is working on the 4 inch line, because I love their 4 inch...oh wait. They haven't put one out yet. I loved the Jakks Build and Brawl figures, and I'm still waiting for Mattel's offerings. I don't care much for wrestling at this point, but I loved some of the classic guys and they are good for custom sculpts, too.

And in fairness, Mattel's larger scale figures do look pretty good. I just want to see something quality at the smaller scale. Maybe they can do what they did with the Toy Biz Marvel Legends line and put out a decent line copying some of the better things Hasbro has done, just a few years later and a few tweaks of their own.

Falconhood 12-12-2010 05:18 PM

I just want to see the DCUC sized figures. If Mattel could make the 3.75" figures of the same quality as the 3.75" Iron Men, then those would be awesome...but DCIH was Mattel's failed attempt at that size.
