Hot Toys IM2 Tony Stark New Head Sculpt
Dang! Life-like. Awesome.
Wow!
I keep expecting him to start talking. Great job, HT! |
Damn that looks awesome! Looks just like him! Even has that "slouch" stature! Pretty neat, looks like a damn museum piece.
wow, awesome would be a huge understatement, phenomenal job, HT!
Oh boy! I have been very much looking forward to this figure.
Here are some more photos: Sideshow Freaks - View Single Post - Hot Toys - Iron Man 2:Mark IV Limited Edition spec I'll be shopping Ebay for spare Tony Stark heads to build a new business suit Stark. |
I'm not a Hot toys man, yet. Whats the scale and price on one of the guys?
$170-$190 a month after release, $210+ at release. They are 12 inches tall, 1/6 scale, in line with Barbies. They're about the best adult toys. I have the Iron Man I set and I never consider taking them off display.
That is a great likeness, will have to pic one up for sure. My 1/6th collection is small, but I have to have a Ironman standing next to my Predator and sideshow SnakeEyes.
is this the same with MARK IV first release or this is a new release that only additional donut box and new sculpt head??...like war machine that have release again for limited edition figure with all the same like previous product but only add 3 acesorries
I believe you're thinking of the Mark VI release. This is the first time Hot Toys has done the Mark IV.
Fear not! There's also only one War Machine figure.

The funny thing is, Hot Toys only lists one version of the 1:6 Mark VI and Mark IV toys, both of which are listed as "Limited Edition". They even go so far as to list the exclusive versions as well as the regular versions of their IM2 busts. So I would have to assume that HT would also list alternate versions of their 12" figures.
As for what's been released in Hong Kong, I can't say. There was a thread about HT War Machine getting additional accessories, but I believe it was determined they were added before it was supposed to be released. This could simply be a case of regional variations. It happens quite a lot with Transformers, so it could be the same thing here. Or, it could be a running change with the mold. Granted, that doesn't seem as likely, given the price and quality of HT figures. Also, I would think Hot Toys would mention something like that in one of their press releases, or on their site. |
