Custom Lego Gonk Droid
I did this about a year ago- wanted to try my hand at making something in Lego that had never been done before, so I went with a simple design. This guy stands about 8 inches tall, and the legs do in fact "gonk" back and forth. I used a combination of official Lego bricks and some knock off brand- most of the dark blue are the knock offs.

Ah, okay. When you said he "gonked" I had to ask to make sure. Come to think of it, I think that thing would be way too heavy to support its own body :p
Still, great job though and no problem! |

Basically, the legs are on a rod that runs side to side underneath the bulk of the droid. I had to also put "stops" in the front and back of each leg, otherwise he went ass over teakettle. |
