Possible BotCon Banzai-Tron

Some photos leaked of what appears to be a BotCon exclusive repaint of Energon Mirage into Banzai-Tron, a G1 Actionmaster. If true, I believe this will be the first Banzai-Tron toy since the original. I think the stock head makes for a good Banzai-Tron head.

While I have no real attachment to the Banzai-Tron character, I am really digging the possibility of this being him!

It's very possible, but I'm curious how it will fit in with the other Botcon exclusives. Is it going to be a freebie or part of one of the souvenir sets?

The general consensus is that Leozack is going to be the freebie, so that would make an add-on you would have to buy. I think people are thinking that due to the freebie usually being a repaint of a figure already in the boxed set? This is all hearsay on my part as I have never been to a BotCon yet.

Aren't the freebies usually deluxes? Has the freebie ever been a figure as large as Energon Mirage?

Ooooh, I'm liking that guy. I never got Energon Mirage, but I've always wanted him.

Usually the freebie has always been a basic or deluxe, so Leozack being the freebie is a definite possibility. The only thing that has me puzzled is the size of the boxed set itself. Overall, it's a larger set than before, with more of the bigger molds. So I was wondering if the freebie would follow suit.

Also, Leozack and Skyquake could be a 2-pack like Laserbeak and Buzzsaw from Botcon 2006. Granted, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw were also basics and the Starscream redecos are deluxes.

He's actually pretty cool. Bit of a shellformer, but otherwise good.

I actually got a G1 Banzai-Tron in the mail today. :D
