Some New Marvel Universe Figures

Marvel Universe Taskmaster, Deadpool and Silver Samurai

cellardoor 03-15-2011 04:57 AM

Sweet! Just reading Siege at the moment so Taskmaster is a must-buy now, not that these packs aren't already on my radar.
I'm assuming these will start popping up for pre-orders soon? I'm sure I saw one site taking orders already.

Alienweirdo 03-15-2011 05:14 AM

Silver Samurai looks gorgeous, I love how he looks like he's got the new feet articulation.
Taskmaster looks alright... as does Deadpool. I'm sure they'll impress me more in person.

agentsands 03-15-2011 05:28 AM

So, these are out in China already? Does this mean that we can expect these anytime soon?

DrewBlank 03-15-2011 06:13 AM

Does Taskmaster really come with Han Solo's blaster?

nakobass 03-15-2011 07:49 AM

Have to get Deadpool to go with MU Cable, I'll sell Taskmaster on Ebay. I like the UDON costume better.

trebleshot 03-15-2011 07:56 AM

Cannot wait for these to come stateside.

Tarquinius 03-15-2011 07:59 AM

Smalljoes.com has pegged their arrivial for approx. 3/15/11 (aka today ha).

I dunno how reputable that site is but I imagine between this and that site it should be coming soon!!

proteus 03-15-2011 08:49 AM

Man that deadpool is AWESOME!! Hes got a shooting pinky finger!!hahaha!!! Il definately be picking that pack.....taskmaster is heading to the trading pool tho!!

Shin Densetsu 03-15-2011 09:04 AM

I was excited because we were getting a new Silver Samurai figure, had no idea he could store his swords AND had all that new articulation that I like! WIN! Patch looks like he might have the MU-style thigh swivels too. Crossing my fingers.

Now Deadpool...okay for a retool, wanted a true MU style body. Taskmaster looks great!

It's been a while since I've seen him in books, can anyone post images comparing the classic with Udon costume?

No, Deadpool comes with a Mauser C-96. Which is the real weapon that was doctored into Han's Blaster. All the guns in the old trilogy are real weapons with sci-fi bits welded on, and the magazines removed.

Tarquinius 03-15-2011 10:42 AM

I just gotta admit here, Task Master has a lot going for him.

He might have the single most accessories in the MU line that I can think of (or at least within the likes of Hand Ninja, Punisher etc). But also look at the engineering behind the figure. He has a holster for his pistol, a scabbord for his sword and that quiver behind his cape. He has A LOT of stuff put into him.

I think Hasbro did him justice.

theestampede 03-15-2011 01:22 PM

Is deadpool a new mold or a retool of the woverine origins figure? I've got both of those releases and they are very good. Taskmaster looks really great. Definitely picking this pack up.

Dylan in Oregon 03-15-2011 01:24 PM

Same mold, new deco.

Some new web gear parts and the neck may now have a hinge.

ad1976 03-15-2011 05:22 PM

It's good to see Hasbro committing to a better variety of accessories, even though it is pretty clear Taskmaster stole Han Solo's blaster.

snake5289 03-15-2011 05:28 PM

I hope Deadpool can actually hold his swords this time.

SSj3 Derek 03-16-2011 06:56 AM

Actually, Han Solo stole the Red Skull's Mauser.

CyberScream95 03-17-2011 07:51 PM

I don't usually buy the 2 packs, but the DP/TM is a must for me.

scarecrow 03-18-2011 12:39 AM
