Green Lantern Movie Watcha Buying?

So I think most of us are holding back on the Green Lantern movie line. Thought the small scale line would be a next gen dcih as in dcih done right. I was wrong. Thus, I am not buying.

MAYBE I'll buy Movie Masters Kilowog. Honestly that's the only figure from the lines that appeals to me right now.

Question is, what are you guys buying? Is this line doomed to languish on shelves like the terminator and avatar lines last year?

Crazy Jetty 03-24-2011 06:55 PM

Well... unlike the TF movie style, the GL movie still fits in fairly decently with DCUC and GLC. So I have an interest in the aliens (At least until we get GLC versions). I'll be getting all of the GL movie masters.

The 4" line looks like they're fun fiddle toys, with their constructs. I may get ones that appeal to me when I see them.
Heck, I may get them just to have the constructs.

I'll probably buy most of the line.

I'm getting the guardians at least in 4'' style. Probably any and all alien figures of that as well. One Hal Jordan in 4'' just to have a movie GL, and of course parallax which I'll pick up in the larger scale to fit in with the smaller since he's an entity that would be bigger.

At this point, I have no plans to buy any of them. And it's not because I don't like the movie designs (I'm neutral on that point), it's just that I haven't seen anything that makes me want it yesterday.

About the only thing I've even considered is the movie prop ring, but cost is preventing that purchase ATM.

I collect/trying to collect only Marvel, I still have so many MI/MU/ML figures I want/need and with the thor line already out and cap coming soon I will be focused on completing those mainly. If something really screams buy me then I will like the odd 4'' figure to through in the MU display or a cosplay ring/mask set just for display. other then that not a whole lot interests me other then seeing the movie.

I'm really only interested in Kilowog too. After I've seen the movie I'm sure I'll end up buying Hal too, because he's Hal, but that'll be it for me. I'm sticking to Classics.

Shin Densetsu 04-11-2011 05:55 PM

After finding out that the 4H only sculpted the Movie Masters C&C Parallax, and that the Mattel in-house team did the rest of the Green Lantern Movie Masters, then looking at said figures, I don't think I'll be buying many, if at all. The difference is more viewable once you see the Glu or alien Lantern in the second wave of Green Lantern Classics. That was by the in-house team and it doesn't look up to par with the 4H Lantern figures.
