Kamen Rider Dragon Knight

I was just at toys r us earlier to check on Transformers ROTF stuff, and maybe pick up some fury files if they even had any, but low and behold they had Dragon Knight toys in stock.

Not really all that great articulation-wise (still prefer Motion Revive Series and The action figure series prior to it), but they did have the taurus mecha bull and dragon which I may pick up eventually. All in all, not that bad detail wise if they just had better articulation.

So far I've only seen the gecko, scissor, dragon, blank, knight, and taurus of the basic figures, and the dragon, bat, and taurus of the contract animal series. All in relative 3.75'' scale. They also had the three bikes, mirrorworld, ryuki bike, and knight bike, besides the massive 8''+ figures.

The animals also are compatible for weapons to the basic figures, like the show and japanese counterpart. Not sure what this means for the future ones though for animal to animal. ;)

Does anyone know when the claw/tiger one is coming out?

Oh and as for the MU/ROTF figures if anyone was wondering. Not so good pickings like normal. Absolutely zilch worth getting that they have in stock, or in the case of MU, the lack of a peg even still.

sparkhunter 06-15-2009 03:22 PM

I saw these also and thought they looked to be 3 3/4 inch scale.
if they are I'll get the and the cycles to join my 3 3/4 army, might make for some interesting joe customs, a whole new army of venom soldiers

Chosen 06-16-2009 07:43 PM

Yes, the basic figures are 3.75 inches. I'm a bit impressed with them, but have yet to pick them up. It's nothing compared to the articulation of a Joe or Motion Revive, but I could have lived with them as-is if there was just a bit more arm articulation. An elbow of some kind would have made a world of difference. As they are, I think it's just enough that they don't look too much like vintage SW and carry an illusion of proper motion.

No idea on when Tiger/Axe gets released, but it won't be for a while. Bandai did update their Dragon Knight page with some new stuff at least - Kamen Rider Strike and Sting, plus Strike's Venosnaker with... a clear purple Strike instead of a human form of JTC, for some odd reason.

You'd think since bandai makes MRS, and even Power Rangers, that they'd include elbows, and and some form of ball jointed shoulder.

But on the upside, the contract beasts are pretty sweet. As much as I don't want to add yet another line of figures to my buy list, I may as well finish out my 3.75'' riders with these guys.

great news there is a new image out of the advent belt and its show casing the advent sheets shown here> http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3308/...123b76ba75.jpg and if you notice there is no torque only thrust, camo, wingknight, dragon knight, siren, and sting but sadly no torque

Chosen 07-31-2009 03:44 PM

I don't know the accuracy of the source, but I have read information that Torque's visor is going to be released as a toy, so it's possible that the sheet will be sold with him instead.

Then again, you'd think that major heroes and villains would be covered with these, and Strike in particular, but nope.

Could these be double-sided? That would either cover twelve out of fourteen different decks, or ten riders plus Survive forms for DK and WK.

could be and magnuvisor i give it a 5* rating

I saw these earlier tonight and thought they looked cool. I haven't watched the Dragon Knight series yet, so I don't have any real affinity for them. It would be nice if we could get some of the older series released stateside. I'd love a chance to get Kuuga or Agito at US retail.

Johnnyakiba 08-01-2009 08:30 AM

I have love for the original Kamen Rider. I own a Medicom Ichigo 1.

The figures that are in retail right now are quite dissapointing. No articulation.

Snowflakian 08-01-2009 01:01 PM

I really wish bandai would see the fruit of their own labors, and release the Motion Revive Figures stateside per series.

I'd love to finish my collection of those with Ryuki, Kuuga, Agito, faiz and blade.
Instead of these 'filler' figures for the holes.

torque94 08-01-2009 04:06 PM

i wish they would flippin give us kamen rider dragon knight r&m the good 6 inch ones cause the ones we have a cool but pointless they need to give us torque, wingknight, dragon knight, and axe those would be most helpful

Guess what? :D

YouTube - Review of KRDK DX Advent Belt

Alternative/Alternative Zero and Ryuuga aka. Onyx are the ones left out. Everyone else, right down to the losers like Scissors/Incisor and Verde/Camo, is included!

...as for the belt overall? Uh, might want to get the Legend Rider or 13 Riders DX versions instead. I was okay with the spinning gimmick etc. but not having the belt stable enough to remove cards with ease and using flimsy card faces for the deck no more sturdy than the Advent Cards is a letdown.

Chosen 09-05-2009 05:40 PM

All of the Kamen Rider Dragon Knight toys are on sale at TRU for the Labor Day weekend, at 50% off! The sale is available both online and in stores and applies to everything currently out - 3.75" and 6.5" figures, Advent Beast sets, and bikes.

I'm guessing that they won't have the roleplay stuff out until after this sale ends, since they're still not listed online, haven't appeared in-store at any TRUs to my knowledge, and the advertising only includes the sale price up to the bikes (Dragvisor and Advent Belt are more expensive than them).
