The Golden Age
 

This is the last time I will probably paint this guy (I bought FOUR of these guys on clearance about 4 years ago :) ) Not including the 2 commissioned versions that I made of this guy, this is my 3rd version. I wanted to paint Cybertron as it looked in the Golden Age. A lot of the references were just gold. I tried to give it some texture by using different metallic paints. Started with the flat black base coat, then dry brushed some steel, silver, brass, and gold. Then went back and used gun metal and used copper for the high lights and then some red. Finally, sprayed the planet mode in Krylon Brilliant Gold and the gloss clear goat. This was a fun one to paint.
