G.I. Joe Repacks

I was at TRU today and found some of the Cobra 5-packs that have been out for a while. When I opened the flap to take a look I noticed that three of the character, Storm Shadow, Baroness and Cobra Viper, had been taken out and replaced with some random figs. One of them is the Cobra Trooper, but I have no idea who the other two are. The worst part is that there were 2 of these 5-packs and both had the same exact repackaged figures inside. I looked at the seems and it looked clean. Hard to tell it had been opened at all. I just feel sorry for the poor kid who's parent will buy the pack for them because they don't know any better. I tried to tell an employee but they didn't care.

Just goes to show how clueless some, not all, of the employees are at stores, especially TRU. How did they let someone return these? I know that most employees are not knowledgeable enough about all the product that are in the store, but come on. I used to work at a TRU about 5 years ago and I knew exactly where every single Barbie belonged on the shelf. If you work some where, you need to make it your business to know your product and/or service. On the other hand, places like TRU don't really pay enough or really care enough about their employees to make them give a damn. But that's another topic altogether.

We're here to talk about toys.

I think the 25th G.I. Joes have the worst "swap-and-return" problem!

Did they have any of the "normal" versions available? Whenever I find these repacks, I try to get an original so I can show the clerk the problem. Usually that's enough for them to realize something is wrong and pull it.

The problem for me is 9 times out of 10, there aren't any correct versions left.

I have had simular situations. I came across the new Cobra 5-pack at TRU and someone switched out the Baroness for the single carded Blue Baroness. I really feel bad for the kids. but I thought about it...do the kids care? I don't know. I was irritated. In my rage I went to go to a sales associate to inform him, but, I let it be. I figured that they would just put it on the shelf and try to sell it anyway.

Next time I'm going to make sure it happens. I think it's the job of any collector but also the job of the store itself.

They didn't have any of the normal versions. Only the repacks and about 10 of the Resolute packs.

On another note, I can't believe TRU still hasn't put these on clearance. I got the Resolute pack at Target for less than the price of one ROC figure.

I see that all the time. It's sad.

i saw someone swap out a DCUC Orion and Lightray with a DC Direct Alex Ross Shazam (Captain Marvel) and Marvel Legends Black Knight figure..you could just check the box and see they are different.
