SDCC Sentinel - cheapest price

I've been watching the SDCC Sentinel on ebay like a hawk! The price is typically low 120 to high 150 with shipping, but I seen only one go for 110 with shipping in the last 2 months of "pre-orders". The Galactus on card from SDCC still holds these prices easy, so I can't imagine (with this being the more sought after color as well) that this will go lower.

SO.. with all that in mind, if anyone is looking to get one and wants the cheapest price of 110, I'm pasting the auction I bought from below. His bottom dollar "Best Offer" is 95. He accepted that after a try at 90, so hopefully he does for the remaining ones as well if you want one! (15 and change shipping hits 110 pretty much spot-on)

I truly believe there is no cause for panic. These will be available after CC. Will the price stay high? Of course, but it all depends really, on how bad you want it.

quinten182 07-20-2011 07:31 AM

I agree, no panic should be had at all! They will most definitely still be around. But I was just passing along this price to those who are willing to pay that and want to. :P

omega145 07-22-2011 08:35 AM

Yea, the price will stay around there anyway even after the con. I dont see the price going up at all especially once they are mass released even though the colors are supposed to be different.

gpmartin414 07-22-2011 09:02 AM

I got mine for $100 plus $14 shipping. Given that I'd have to pay to ship it home even if I were at SDCC -- I'm not even sure how that could be taken on a plane -- and that I didn't have to wait in line for three hours or more for a CHANCE to get it, I'm happy. Plus, it would be a pain finding a box to ship it in.

I bought the Galactus last year for a similar price. I check every couple months and it doesn't look like the prices on those are going up or down. However, if we find out that the purple doesn't get retail release/a ton being available on HTS.com, these will go up in price.

Symbiote 07-22-2011 09:19 AM

after waiting for 3 and a half hours in line for hasbro, I bought two. One for me and one for my roommate. I had intentions of opening it up but after looking at the awesome blister card packaging, I'm leaving it as is. I'm going to wait for the toysrus release to open those ones up.

Primacron 07-22-2011 10:08 AM

Yeah, I've just bitten the bullet on eBay, Hasbro has got a lot of things right with MU but making the colour version that everyone wants a convention exclusive is right off the mark.

Redlantern161 07-26-2011 09:32 AM

I agree with the majority of the peeps on here in saying that the sought after version will be in stores soon so I'm not worried in the least

You're probably right, but the whole thing for the SDCC version is the awesome giant card that it comes in.

AndyCR75 07-26-2011 10:17 AM

well right now a bunch of us @ssholes have shut down hasbrotoyshop.com. Got as far as entering my credit card info, but then kicks out. Also been on hold for 57 minutes and counting.

Symbiote 07-26-2011 10:25 AM

I was at the hasbro panel and the color scheme of the sdcc sentinel was addressed. They said that the sdcc colored sentinel could show up in retail. Not sure if the packaging will be the same though.

Im guessing you will see exactly what happened with Galactus. The SDCC carded, and the 2 variants boxed. Case closed.

Ronin11 07-26-2011 10:49 AM

The SDCC ones are now available at Hasbro toy shop for $59.99.

No kidding? That's good news because I bought one SDCC Sent and would love to keep it on that big ass card.

AndyCR75 07-26-2011 11:14 AM

Here's a big F-YOU to the scalpers asking $150.

(Image removed...too much personal info, but it was a receipt from hasbrotoyshop.)

Colder Soldier 07-26-2011 11:25 AM

I used my groupon on mine. The groupon plus the 10% discount (comic2011)- I paid $42 shipped for my Sentinel.

nice work mate!!

neatogecko 07-26-2011 11:31 AM

Roger that. I also gave the scalpers the finger today by getting my SDCC Sentinel from hasbrotoyshop. I even used the 10% off code! Of course it took an hour of refreshing and revisiting the same pages over and over because the site kept dropping off or freezing.

If only I had gotten there in time to get the Starscream/Skystriker too it would have made for a perfect day.

If you have windows go to start>programs>accessories>snipping tool. Then u would be able to blur out you address in the pic LOL but yeah they said in SDCC that they will release the classic colored one so we'll be fine

In the meantime I would love to say to the scalpers reading this: GUESS WHAT? EPIC FAIL BITCHES!!!!!!!!! *maniacal laughter of victory while flipping the bird*

yeah I missed the 10% code that you and Soldier are talking about. All good though, thinking that one day I was going to drop $110 on it. And oh man, refreshing the screen, for like 2 hours LMAO!! At work I was like "oh jesus please no one come in"

quinten182 07-26-2011 03:34 PM

I couldn't get it to load until I seen sold out.. how lame..

Anyone know if it comes on card or boxed like the other version?

LOL. Oh man. I was ordering it during a meeting! I had like 20 people in my office and I was like "Yeah...(refresh)...Uh-huh...(refresh)...That sounds good...(refresh)..." the whole time thinking "I sure hope no one comes around to where they can see my monitor!".

Comes on a giant card, which is then in a giant box.

LMFAO! That's great! It would have been awesome if somebody did see your screen, and then proceeded to geek out and know all about it.

thechris 07-26-2011 05:45 PM

Can't believe what I spent on 3 Sentinels. Bad Chris. Bad. LOL. Unfortunately, I missed out on the sale. Shipping to Canada on this thing is probably around $40 anyway. Couldn't have saved much.

sevens 07-26-2011 06:33 PM

MAN! Such a bummer. I've been checking Hasbro online several times a day for the SDCC Sentinel, but I've been putting Hasbro.com and not Hasbrotoyshop.com. It never showed up on Hasbro.com, and now they're out of stock. If I has just typed the "toyshop" after it, I would have been able to get one for sure! I'm so upset!
