Wolverine/Patch vs. Silver Samurai short claw

I've been noticing on the 2 pack with Wolverine and Silver Samurai that Wolves's claws on his left arm are a bit shorter than his right arm. I also only seen one that matched and they were both short.

Anyone have a correct one? Are they all like this? (Also, no need to reply just to say you do not like Wolverine and all the repaints, or how you feel which mold is better).

omega145 07-24-2011 05:14 PM

Is it that much of a difference? I havent even taken this out of the packaging yet and could not tell a difference really. Maybe post some pics if you can?

thechris 07-24-2011 08:03 PM

My Wolverine figure's claws are the same size.

Browniekun 07-24-2011 08:07 PM

Mine are the same as well.

cellardoor 07-25-2011 02:23 AM

Yep, along with all the other problems I have with the Patch Wolvie, the wonky claws are one.
I trimmed mine down, then whacked them on the X-Force costumed Wolverine. Patch is currently handless and in a shoe box!

quinten182 07-25-2011 05:30 AM

My patch is currently headless and has a skrull head on it. It's the best thing I ever did to that figure and it still sucks. :P

Problems? I LOVE that figure. I expected to throw him in the box, but the second I took him out of the package he went right front and center with Silver Samurai. He really looks amazing in my opinion. (Although I guess he's supposed to have an eye patch?)

As for the claws, mine has a slightly longer middle claw on his left hand, but I don't even notice it unless I put the two hands together.

Good point that I hadnt heard yet. Where the hell is the eye patch? I havent even opened up this two pack because im tempted to return it. Kinda hurts paying 15-18 bucks for basically only one figure that I want.
Wolverine/Patch is ehhhh at best. Another throw away Wolverine figure IMO.

The Patch fig sucks but i was really happy with the Silver Samurai. I recommend keeping it!

SoundWave88 07-25-2011 03:11 PM

He only had an eye patch when he was Logan (-san), as 'Wolverine', or whatever be was trying to call his self, (the X-Men were trying to pass off being dead due to the Fall of the Mutants storyline), he had a black headband with eye holes.

Personally, I was gonna try to do AOA Wolverine with him, so I guess ultimately it doesn't matter if his left hand claws are short. I wish I could make a comic pack with Silver Samurai and Sabertooth, but the way things are going, they will most likely be released as a single pack.

If people are still interested, I'll try to post pics

THere's an issue like this with the Deadpool Taskmaster pack whereas taskmaster usually has bad paint apps & no sling for the arrows

Symbiote 07-26-2011 11:13 AM

I used patch's hands for x force wolverine. He looks much better with the closed fist look.

That Wolverine with the newly added claws looks nice, I'm thinking of doing that when I get my SS 2pack.

deadpool 08-26-2011 05:15 PM

Is this comic pack good?

Do the hands just pop right out? Always been kinda scared to try lol.

Greenskar 08-26-2011 05:21 PM

Yup. Pop right out. Unless you're unfortunate enough to have the defect that the Secret Wars 2 pack Wolverine/Human Torch had in it's first run, which was that the hand was stuck and even rotating it eventually resulted in the hand tearing from the ball joint.

Otherwise, go for it.

Do Boy 08-26-2011 05:23 PM

Cool. Thanks man

Boba Fettuccini 08-26-2011 06:19 PM

What I love most about this comic pack is how the Wolverine comic included isn't the one the cover is from, and the costume he's in isn't even featured in the comic.

Funny, I did the EXACT same thing about 2 weeks ago with my Patch and X-Force Wolverine. Except the only X-Force Wolverine I have is the earlier MU repaint one with the normal belt buckle.

So, yeah, they really do look much better. I tossed poor useless Patch to the side and marveled at my achievement. I'm glad to see someone else do it too! :)

Colder Soldier 08-26-2011 07:21 PM

I guess I'm the odd man out again. I love my "Patch" figure. But I want him to have the same connected claws like all the other scale-accurate Wolvies.

If anyone has an extra pair of X-Force 3pk Wolverine hands, I'll trade them for Patch hands.

bmorr 08-26-2011 08:33 PM

i hate the face on it. But hey, i bought the pack only for silver samurai cause he's pretty much in the top 3 most detailed MU figure.

Still way better than the original face sculpt they used for the Xavier school Wolverine with the big white teeth.

bmorr 08-26-2011 08:53 PM

i like the xavier school one better. at least he doesnt have the pouting lips.

Its the same wolverine. I just touched up the paint to give him the more metallic look from that x force series and painted the red x on his belt. I hate how he has the buckle.
