How's It Made: Action Figure Edition
Does anyone else here watch the show, (How's It Made) and if so does anyone know if they have done an episode on action figures? If not would any of you be interested in starting an email campaign to the producers to see if they would? Personally I would love to see them do an whole episode dedicated to it, maybe they could visit, Hasbro, Mattel and such and give us a behind the scenes look at the creation of our plastic crack addiction.

I've seen the show, but have yet to see an episode involving action figures. Besides the obvious NDA and proprietary information issues that the toy companies would have with a camera crew, the factories themselves may not allow cameras inside regardless of who they do business with.

Great idea James! I've seen the show a few times and some products are more interesting than others. I actually dont see an issue with allowing them into the factories to show how the products are made. That's what TV editing is for and you think that other companies or tv shows havent profiled these sweat shops or other manufacturing plants without putting a positive spin on things?
For those that dont know about hows it made, check this out: How It's Made : Science Channel |
I sent them an email. Will let you all know if I get a reply.
