Wade Wilson- MU

After getting a Scarlet Spider the other day, I was facinated with the new hips and got to wondering what could be done with them custom wise.

I love Deadpool and wanted one that moved better than the XOW ones we received so I took the SS body and popped it open. Added shoulders from a Symbiot Spider-Man (black shoulders) random hands and the head & legs from XOW Deadpool I have started on my own Deadpool. Still need to paint up the torso, but am pretty happy with it as is for now.

cool

Excellent idea! I wasnt that crazy about the XMO or 2 pack Deadpool and this look like itll be better than both. Ill be awaiting some completed pictures with the much better articulation than whats already out there.

Very nice. I don't know why Hasbro is having such a hard time doing this so we don't have to.

Haloid1177 08-29-2011 01:53 PM

Looks great. I don't mind the XMO mold, but the hips are rather annoying.

Thanks for the comments. I wish the red was a better match. I am thinking i should give it a wash before painting the black.

I'm gonna do the same thing but use the cyclops body.

The reason I went with Scarlet Spider's body was the color match. If I was going to make the X-Force version, that would have been the body I used. I love the idea behind these new hips. I can see some of my more acrobatic customs getting this treatment (NightWing & Backlash for starters)

I started doing the same thing, though I'm doing paint app all around, and I'm not swapping the legs. I made my own accessories out of bits and pieces of GI Joe stuff and other MU figures' stuff.

One question: how did you separate the body to get the shoulder joint swap? I tried to vice'n'pop like I have with older MU and my Joes, but it just squished the existing shoulder joints to plastic mush and didn't even begin to separate the body.

Sweet! I knew that scarlet spider was good for something

I found that taking a sharp (but small) exacto blade to the underside of the MU torso will seperate the torso. If you do this on both sides you can remove the shoulders easily. Once you have the bottom open, you can put the blade in the seam above the shoulder upt to the neck. Doing this loosens the seam and allows you to 'pop' the upper torso with a small jeweler's screwdriver.
