Walmart 6" Thor and Captain America Movie

Finally found these after months of stalking Wal-Mart.
Full review here:

But the gist is, even though half of the figures in this wave are repaints, they're vast improvements on the originals. Loki is really the best version we've ever seen and the Movie Captain America is the star of the wave in my opinion.

Nice pictures. I really want that comic Loki, and I'm starting to really like that comic Thor.

Good review. The scale looks out of wack for all of these from your pictures. I already have my eyes on that Loki and I guess ill decide on any others once they are in stores. Id hate to pick any up for 15-16 bucks then see them on clearance for 5-10 bucks eventually.

Steve Jobs 10-05-2011 11:52 AM

is that movie Thor cross-eyed?

I had that same thought with the Iron Man 2 6" line. Well over a year later and I'm still waiting for them to clearance them out. I've seen them at various Walmarts with "clearance" tags on them but they're still regular price. With any other store, I would say wait if you aren't comfortable spending that price, but there's still Rise of Cobra figures at full price at many Walmarts in my area.

The only bummer about Loki is he doesn't come with anything. Kinda hard to swallow paying $15 for just the figure with no sword or BAF piece.

iLegends73 10-05-2011 12:28 PM

but that loki has the same lower leg articulation as doc samson. i hate that, thats the only thing keepin me from givin it a top shelf score

sadly yes.

Nice pics. Still not a fan of this scale. Let see how I fell when the ML series comes out.

Fortune 10-05-2011 01:45 PM

Hmmm Thor looks a bit cross eyed.

Do you know if that is a line wide problem or just an isolated case?

DogFashionDisco 10-05-2011 02:14 PM

Loki looks like Vigo from Ghostbusters 2.

I checked out four movie Thors in two cases, and they all had that problem.

Jason Abbadon 10-05-2011 02:22 PM

That King Thor looks awful- a He-Man reject.
Is Movie Thor's helmet removable?

That really hurts my chances of getting one.

Robogeek28 10-05-2011 06:49 PM

Nick Fury is just too damn big!

I thought I was seeing things when comparing him to the 6 inch Mark VI Ironman on the shelves but I guess not.

Tiberius 10-05-2011 07:02 PM

This wave is an easy pass. I'll see what comes out next, but from right now, noooo interest.

No it's not removable.

Fortune 10-06-2011 05:18 PM

I saw a Thor yesterday at my LCBS (they wanted 25$ and I thought that was too much) but his eyes were good on the one I saw so maybe you wanna keep searching.

Jason Abbadon 10-07-2011 11:16 PM

The more I see of that He-Man Thor, the worse it looks- Mjolnir looks like an old cinderblock.

Loki looks like he's make a nice Mu scale Frost Giant- just lop off those horns and do a repaint.

warmachine6 10-08-2011 01:07 AM

i have the thor , and ironman mark vi and warmachine im not sure weather to get cap because the way he looks in the avengers movie , loki , i really want the movie version instead of the comic version , and im tempted to get nick fury but not sure , im hoping hawkeye comes with many arrows like the marvel legends one

I know he is supposed to look like a certain artwork and time period. Just can't remember where he is supposed to be from.

warmachine6 10-08-2011 02:48 AM

for people who think hes crossed eyed , hes not , i have one and hes fine , i think roshan was unlucky to get the figure

IF i'm not mistaken it is from the 'Lord Of Asgard' storyline from Thor #50 Dan Jurgens was on the title then. Well I've wanted for a long while a Thor in this size and while I would have prefered a classic Thor this one looked nice on the shelf especially with it hanging on the $9.99 peg, a mistake by a walmart associate that benefited me. Now I can pose him with either my Hercules or Hawkman from Sups/Bats Public Enemies.
