Toys R Us Video Game Trade-In
 

Not sure if this has been posted here or not yet. I couldn't find a thread about it.

Toys R Us is now accepting video games as trade-ins in exchange for store credit. I saw a sign the other day at my local TRU and asked about it. Basically, they accept all games, from the old Atari up to current gen. The catch is that you must have the game, manual and original case. Also, they don't pay too much for them.

I took in a stack of PS2, Gamecube, DS and Wii games that I haven't touched in a good while, years in some cases. The most I got for a single game was about $14. In the end the total came out to be $143.85. I used it to buy a bunch of stuff I've been eyeing lately.

I don't know if all stores are doing this or not. I asked one of the associates the specifics and he told me that it is something that they are trying out and only a few stores are actually re-selling the used games. If it does well enough all stores will begin to sell used games.

If you have some games collecting dust might as well see what they're worth. Better than taking them to Gamestop. At least you'll be able to get some of those goodies you've been wanting.
