MGS Meryl Silverburgh Play Arts

Play Arts Kai Meryl Silverburgh From Metal Gears Solid

This line just keeps getting better and better!

However, while her face/hair resembles Meryl's, it doesn't immediately remind me of Meryl...

Meryl !!!

I hope there's a no pants variant. :D

Shin Densetsu 10-26-2011 05:51 AM

Can't wait for these to be released!

Harbinger 10-26-2011 07:53 AM

i enjoy the play arts figures...i just cant justify their 50 plus dollar price tag!

name 10-26-2011 09:21 AM

this doesn't look like her at all...

im not getting the whole play art line, are they suppose to loo stylized!?!
every figure i see from them (while looking great as stand alone figures themselves) looks off from what they are trying to emulate

Jmacq1 10-26-2011 11:40 AM

Well, she's certainly...perky.

Play Arts Kai would be on my radar if they weren't out of scale with everything else I own.

TINY WOMEN!!!

(mad love to Vange1us...)

Man, I am just loving the PlayArts Kai figures more and more. Meryl is looking good. These MGS 1 figures would look amazing if they were paired up with the threeA Toys super detailed upcoming Metal Gear Rex Vinyl figure.

Whoa!! that looks awesome. Do you know when or if it will get released?

malcontentman 11-10-2011 08:42 PM

It is looking like a definite "yes". Ashley Wood who is part owner of threeA Toys has a close relationship with Kojima Productions. He did the art for the original Metal Gear comics released by IDW. Here is a blurb from the threeA produciton blog from last month:

"The wait is nearly over, soon we will be offering Metal Gear REX, from the epic game series METAL GEAR SOLID. It goes without saying we are very proud to work with Team Kojima and Konami to bring a large size REX toy to the world! Check out some photos of the prototype ( sans legs, due to a typhoon yesterday, a fully made up REX wasn’t available for shots ), the full reveal is coming, with all the details! And don’t forget , Metal Gear RAY is not far behind!"

...and the link: threeA Online You just have to scroll a bit.

malcontentman 11-11-2011 05:43 AM

Well, as of this morning there is an even newer update on the blog indicating that Rex is on sale in Januray 2012.
