Vision Decision Help!

So I got a second chance offer to buy a MOC colored Vision for 89.90 with 10 shipping. I have $64 in my paypal, so it'd wipe out my toy money and I'd have to add $36 from my spending money. Is it worth it? Is it a good offer? Is it way too much for a colored Vision?

I looked at completed listings, and they're all right around $100 with shipping, so I feel like this is a bit on the nose.

I'm a MOC collector, who will probably never be satisfied with a custom painted MOC fake.

What do you experts think?

Kaewin 11-14-2011 09:32 PM

Vision is my favorite Marvel character and I say go for it. Unless you can snipe someone on ebay for it.

D00MTR0N 11-14-2011 09:33 PM

no,not for that price, thats insane, but if you want him that bad and have the money...

MasterSock 11-14-2011 09:33 PM

Not worth it. I got Mine not to long ago for $45 shipped that was both vision , Colored one was loose.

Tiberius 11-14-2011 09:34 PM

No, it is not. If you are a customizer, you can wait for a phasing one or a broken one on ebay to make your own. HOWEVER, I cannot remember if you are MOC collector. Heck if you are and are desperate for this figure, then I still say WAAAAAAAAAAIT SON, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT.

Kaewin 11-14-2011 09:35 PM

I was lucky and I got both off the peg. One of our local Wal Marts had him a month or so ago but I by passed it.

Peteparker 11-14-2011 09:38 PM

Sorry, I forgot to state that I'm a MOC collector, and this one is MOC. I'm never going to be satisfied with a painted custom variant to complete my collection.

I assume you passed the phasing version? Maybe I need to make a hunting trip to Virginia!

DogFashionDisco 11-14-2011 09:42 PM

It is a cool character, but any figure that cost $7.99 retail only two years ago isn't worth that much. You worked hard for your money, so save it for something that you either need or can't resist.

Tiberius 11-14-2011 09:43 PM

If anyone has a cape and a head of vision, let good ol' Tiberius know! lol

M3T4L V1KING 11-14-2011 10:07 PM

Almost $100 for a 3.75" inch figure... I'm sorry but that just doesn't sound right at all.

Exodus 11-14-2011 10:08 PM

Save your $ and hopefully a revision case will come out.

IronAvenger 11-14-2011 10:26 PM

Patients is key man, I'm telling just wait, cuz eventually u will fine one ON ebay for a cheaper price. 100 bucks for 1 is definitely not worth it. Wait it out.
Patients is a virtue

rodimus15 11-14-2011 10:36 PM

$100 for a poop mold imo. Dont do it! i'm sure you'll find one for a reasonable price or vision gets a remake.

FancyPants 11-14-2011 11:01 PM

I wouldn't do it dude. Might as well break into a warehouse and save the cost. The latter is less crazy

However, I love spending money. If you're really into vision or just HAVE to have him, I say go for it. That is a lot of money for one item though.

omega145 11-15-2011 04:59 AM

He's not great of a figure to spend that much on him, very overrated IMO. Again, its up to you and not sure why you'd ask a bunch of people that you don't even know what you should do with your own money. Personally I like the custom painted vision I have much more than both versions and its up for sale if anyone is interested.

bmorr 11-15-2011 05:21 AM

one day i might have to buy a second phasing vision and paint it when i actually have the time to do such a thing. Im not spending 100 dollars on a 3" toy with a gi joe body. Im not desperate enough.

LORD MARVEL 11-15-2011 06:19 AM

Pete regardless of cost if you want it get it. Everyone has there opinions but its your paper thats buying it bro.

Fedup23 11-15-2011 06:32 AM

Don't do it..I need the figure too and don't want people thinking they can get 100 for it.

Im also pissed at the guy who short sold his house dwn the street from me for 100k less than what he should have..you are both ruining the markets!! ;)

Every person has their price..do what is right for you! :D

quinten182 11-15-2011 07:17 AM

No joke on the house selling! How can I refinance when everyone around me is 50k under everything! Ahhhhh!

Any way, I have a loose Vision I picked up on peg when I barely even wanted him when they came out, I was just being a completionist. I can't believe Blade and him both are this ridiculous now! Hopefully they re-release them fore everyone else. So dumb not to..

Exactly! Everyone forgets that he's the crappy old Daredevil buck!
The translucent version is MUCH nicer- partly becaue you cant see it's awful buck!

Best bet: buy a clear version and a Jim Lee Cyclops and make an awesome custom!

ludovicotek 11-15-2011 07:21 AM

How much is that Vision worth to YOU? Personally, I'd say pass on that. I'll sell you mine for $20 (kidding ;) )

Ragnar 11-15-2011 07:31 AM

I do have to apologize first off I voted before I read your post. Now, with that out of the way I still think you get him. I do not think you should pay that much for him. I agree with the other arkers who preach patience in all matters marvel. It is something that has served me well since the beginning of the line.

Optimus Vader 11-15-2011 08:24 AM

I'd go for it if I were you.

It's not worth it to me, but I'm not a completest so I'm not looking at it from the same perspective as you. There's nothing wrong with splurging once in a while.. it's not like we're talking thousands of dollars here either.

cellardoor 11-15-2011 08:42 AM

The MOC element is tempting and the figure is collectable.
The best way to consider if it's worth it is to ask what could you get for the same money?
If you could get four or five other figures from a new wave then it's not worth it.
At a totally subjective level, the figure itself uses the stumpy, generic wave 1 mould that is not worth that price.
At the moment the Vision figure is rare and collectable because collectors are paying over the odds. These values are not real, they are created by the ebay, sellers market.
If you cannot rest until you own it then no advise will stop you though, I know that for a fact!

miketime 11-15-2011 08:47 AM

I too am horrified at what Vision and Blade and most other HTF MU figures are going for online. People need to stop paying these kind of prices for MU. The most expensive MU is the Marvel.com sub fig at $60 and people are willing to pay $125 for it. $60 + for one with out wings. Crazy! Stop the insanity!
