Ghost Rider: Spirt of Vengeance. Yes or No?
Ghost Rider:Spirt of Vengeance was released today.
And originally we were going to watch it because A-It's a comic book movie and B-It's a comic book movie But after reading horrible reveiws for it, we may not see it until DVD. After we read reviews we watched clips from the movie for the first time, and we weren't impressed. So what about you good citizens.........will you be watching Ghost Rider this weekend? |
i WILL WATCH IT...FORGET REVIEWS...EVERYONE IS A CRITIC ...YOU BE THE JUDGE.. I RATHER WATCH A CHEESY MARVEL MOVIE THEN NOT HAVING ANY MARVEL MOVIE... JUST MY 2 CENTS

Ha Ha we're kinda thinking the same but Thor and Captain America got better reviews. And we loved those two movies, we're not sure if Ghost Rider will be as good. |
True, but man should have went straight to DVD save us the agony:P

Hi all luckly for me i saw it yesterday in the cinemas when it came out i thought that it was very good also gave me a different feel to the character as well as an intresting story also i would plan to watch it again when its out on dvd or blu-ray
so highly recommended it. although all i can say is if you thinking of watching it, all you can say is hell yeah |
The original Ghost Rider movie, if I recall correctly, got fairly poor reviews. But I thought that one was *really* good.
I'm very much looking forward to this one. However, I won't poll, because the appropriate choice for me is not present. "I'll get around to seeing it, eventually." I don't know if that's theaters, or dvd. |
I'll see it because it's a Marvel flick, but the first one was so bad that my expectations are low enough to wait for Netflix.
I know Nick Cage isn't everyone's favorite, but I've never had a problem with him as an actor. It blows my mind that he's ok with this crap of a movie. |
So now that the weekend is over, Who saw Ghost Rider? What did you think?
|
Waiting to buy it on DVD/Blu-Ray. I will see it then. If I can wait six months to see Captain America, I can wait about 3-4 months to see this.
|
I 1000%, yup one thousand, agree with LORD MARVEL- you be the judge. I saw GR this weekend and was thouroughly entertained. Granted I know very little about the story of Ghost Rider so I don't have much to compare it against. Asking other people, especially people you don't even know, if you should see a movie is like going in to the toy aisle and asking someone "okay, you go pick me out the toys you think are cool."

I didn't mind Nick Cage in Kick Ass...but I also didn't read the book until after the movie. I loved his older movies: Face Off, Con Air and The Rock, to name a few. Nowadays though, he's just become a joke due to performances like Wicker Man and the youtube mockery that followed not the bees! - YouTube That said, I watched Ghost Rider SOV with Symbiote and another buddy on Friday and was pretty disappointed. Not only did I nearly fall asleep on more than one occasion but you try watching a movie with symbiote where he repeats every other line in a Nick Cage voice out of mockery because that's how silly watching him in this movie was. I actually liked the first movie better. This movie seemed to try to introduce a young Danny Ketch, although they only refer to him as "Danny" throughout the movie. Problem is, I never care about why anyone is after this kid and there's no reason to care about any of the characters in this movie at all. I went in only to see the CGI Ghost Rider scenes, and while those are cool at times, Symbiote killed it for me when he drew the comparison that Ghost Rider moved like the creepy girl in "The Ring". He was right. There is a scene, I shit you not, where Blaze is trying to interrogate some dude by threatening to let the Rider out except that instead of it being threatening its really just funny. It's just Nick Cage making crazy Nick Cage faces and you start to wonder if the poor guy on the receiving end of the torment just wants Nick Cage to get out of his face and show him the Rider already. The biggest disappointment I had with this movie was the trademark Penance stare. He just stares at the guys for about 15-30 seconds with his head tilting every now and then and other guys around him are regrouping and all. Then after the director feels he dragged the blank staredown long enough the guy just incinerates. WTF?! IGN gave this movie 4 out of 5 stars and Newsarama gave it 2 out of 5. So this really is one of those you either Love it or Hate it movies it seems. I for one, Hate it. So far this movie ranks worse than Elektra on my list of bad Marvel movies. |
I saw it. It has better action scenes then the first movie. But The story was better in the first movie. If you just want to see some cool action and Ghost Rider being a Badass(Which is all I wanted), I say go see it, but don't expect anything really deep. See it in
2D, It's not worth 3D. |
