The Amazing Spider-Man 3.75" BBTS pre-orders

Preorders are up at BBTS for the Amazing Spider-Man figures.

Like the Avengers Wave 3, they're a bit inflated in price, but they are pre-orders, after all...

kdawg01970 04-27-2012 10:23 PM

They look like the same Spiderman figs that are in clearance right now. Pass!

FancyPants 04-27-2012 11:08 PM

That's bad. like really bad. I want classic toybiz colors on doc oc from the 90s animated series. those arms look almost poseable.

snake5289 04-27-2012 11:39 PM

I may get the Doc Ock and Venom depending on what they look like in person. The Venom I have from the current Spidey line is a tad bit too small compared to the Spider-Man from the Capt. Britain cp.

DarkestKnight 04-28-2012 01:07 AM

Probably will get the Ben Reily Spidey just because I'm a fan of the character, and of course the basic Movie Spidey.

But seriously, what is up with Hasbro and NOT RELEASING THE MAIN VILLIAN WITH THE FIRST SERIES. Avengers is sort of the exception (but then again we don't even have the whole team yet), but look at IM2 when the main villain (Whiplash) was not even found until mid-summer and it was rare. CA:TFA had Red Skull show up later on and wasn't that common, Thor while did have a Loki in series 1, didn't have the Destroyer figure (who was the most marketed villain) until months later and King Loki from the end battle was pretty much near impossible to find.

Actually they are worse than those because all but 1 has T-waist syndrome.

MrChips 04-28-2012 04:45 AM

Those figures look terrible! I'll wait for the more articulated movie Spidey figure

bmorr 04-28-2012 05:03 AM

the only one id consider is doc ock

Jason Abbadon 04-28-2012 07:08 AM

Any good images on that Green goblin? I want to see if they finally made a comic accurate head.

There is already a decent looking one in the current spiderman line called web strike Spiderman if I'm not mistaken and it looks pretty accurate, maybe a little small but otherwise looks good and has better articulation

Haloid1177 04-28-2012 09:11 AM

Ultra-articulated movie Spidey will be the only one I get.

jjk1120 04-28-2012 09:44 AM

I'm interested in the Green Goblin and Doc Ock. And maybe the super poseable Spidey

I do have that one already, yeah he is kinda on the short side, I'll probably get the new one too, could be just me but the bolder black outline on the eyes and the symbol remind me of Romita Jr.'s artwork.

I've posted some pics of Gobby & Venom on the UK Marvel Universe Collectors thread. I really like the Goblin, I prefer him to the MU one. Really needs a waist or torso swivel though.

evilanimation 04-29-2012 05:45 AM

these are up on ToysRus for preorder.

bmorr 04-29-2012 05:48 AM

hes right:

The Amazing Spider-Man Power Arms Doctor Octopus Action Figure - Hasbro - Toys "R" Us

Alienweirdo 04-29-2012 06:57 AM

I saw these in a local Entertainers, they look really weak...

At least with the Avengers toyline the sculpts are great and with a little extra love could be improved with some paint work. The hip joints are also a massive improvement despite the criminal lack of ankle and wrist joints. But these looked lame by today's standards, like they've devolved, or taken a leaf out of Mattel's book for 3 3/4 figures.

uberlad 04-29-2012 06:35 PM

Eh. The T-crotches are disappointing, but I'll still probably pick up at least five figs from the first wave. Web Strike, Manga Spidey, Ben Reilly (sp?), Venom and Ock are all on my list.

Is wave 2's ultra articulated the movie version or comic? I would kill for a truly-maxed out in terms of articulation Comic Spidey.

Only the movie version is ultra articulated.

Kluster Bombs 04-29-2012 10:15 PM

We need Venom and Dock Ock with MU articulation.

That and with the price of gas, makes it less painless to hunt =)

bmorr 04-30-2012 05:45 AM

they brought back the JUMPSTARTERS. they were tf's from 1986.
The Amazing Spider-Man Flip & Attack Figures Series 01 - Battle Hauler - The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) Other Figures

Jason Abbadon 04-30-2012 10:41 PM

Those were the lamest Transformers ever made- and now they're Spidey figs...

Showdown made both- the Doc Ock is pretty common and cheap.

ThatClixGuy 05-05-2012 09:11 PM

Wow, that's a lot of trash figs. At least there's a chance we get a decent Doc Ock. Unfortunately, the paint apps will probably be as bad or worse than the current Doc Ocks on clearance at your local Target.
