I guess it depends on when you saw it. I dunno, I'm also a sucker for treasure-hunting movies and adventure. It's why I love Uncharted so much. OG Blade Runner is a movie I saw once and never again, haha. Didn't really click with me. Although seeing the new one made me appreciate the old one more. I really really disliked the new one. I at least respect the old one for the stunning world it created. |

Just got back from seeing Ant-Man and the Wasp, really enjoyed it, one of my favourite MCU films now. Hannah John-Man in particular was amazing, if Marvel don't bring her back as a recurring character they have lost their minds.

Last movie I watched was Sausage Party a few days ago... Terribly unfunny movie. My bro and his wife talked up how funny it was... so disappointing.

Death of Superman and it was a damn solid adaptation of the comic.

If I saw a commercial for it, I would've been in the same boat. I really don't know how or why it was so bad. You would think between writers, directors, producers, script supervisors, actors, etc... someone would've said. Hey this isn't too great...

Mission: Impossible - Fallout
Either you like these movies or you don't. I've only seen 1, 3 and 5 before this one and they were entertaining. This one is, too. Though, it seems more to be a collection of chase sequences than even previous films. The final one stretches credibility even for these movies. Solid 7/10. Ant-Man and the Wasp I appreciated that the stakes were lower in this movie, despite the movie trailer "She could destroy the world!" line...was that even in the film? Though that leaves the movie lacking in terms of solid villainy, Ghost is interesting but too sympathetic. Maybe there's too much of Scott's pals...there's a line where supporting comic relief in an already more humorous super hero movie get to be too much. But it was thoroughly entertaining and the little girl wins a prize for being likeable and not a bad kid actress. 6/10, maybe better. I dunno. I get jaded from seeing all these comic book movies. |

In the early 80's, Kenner Indiana Jones figures were all over Toys R Us, but if you wanted the basic Jones figure himself, you were SOL. I never saw him or Marion in stores. The rest were clearance aisle fodder for years afterwards.
The line didn't debut with the movie, it was like a year after, I think. The LJN Temple of Doom line was like 4 figures and bad. |

But yeah, this movie was bad though and I think those two should just stop. James in particular is capable of so much more, he had a career making serious films initially and was quite good at it, he should stick with that. |

And yeah I remember the Toht figure peg warmed well into the 80s lol. |
O, Brother Where Art Thou?
Never saw it all before, just a few bits. Decent enough. I think the Coen Bros are somewhat overrated, though. And the leads not singing their songs (except one) was obvious and distracting. |

Rewatched X-MEN: APOCALYPSE on FX.
Why this is so over-hated, I'll never know. Sure, it's not perfect. The weapon x part felt like a shoehorn, as Stryker plays no real role after that. And there's more characters that it has time to explore. But if this had come out on the early 2000's, everyone would've loved it. |

I've never understood the hate it gets either. I liked all the X-Men movies. Yes I said ALL of them.

Saw Searching today finally. Great movie, in my top 5 for the year. Go see it!

When I think about why I like X2 and DoFP, it's because of those small, clever, human moments that the MCU does well--the Quicksilver/Magneto breakout scene, the opening act of X2 in the mansion with Wolverine and the kids, and so on. Anyway, recently filled out the rest of our MCU Blu-ray/4K collection, and wife and I are getting a head start on re-watching every single flick before Avengers 4. So technically, the last movie I saw was Iron Man. It's still the best Iron Man. Holds up extremely well. |
Venom- I enjoyed it, I don't think it deserves as much hate as it's getting. I enjoyed the comedy greatly. But it's best-watched when viewed with a "this is a standalone elseworlds version of Venom" filter on. That's how I enjoyed it. I think it's more fun than Age of Ultron or Thor Ragnarok to watch. I would probably give it a 6/10. Flawed fun.

The Predator- garbage. Worst in the series.

I'm relieved to know we'll all be dead in two generations. That's sort of a minor spoiler, but the junk science in the film was laughable. |
