Mezzo exclusive or general release?

Should be available at whatever retailer you prefer to use. There wasn't any indication to it being a MDX

jwyss234 01-06-2018 09:34 PM

The Iron Man figure they’ve already shown should be a general release. I would imagine that there will be a stealth PX exclusive and a Silver Centurion MDX exclusive at some point.

I was thinking they might also go the loaded-with-weapons type PX exclusive that they often do, and give us a War Machine.

I want to know when We will be getting Knightmare Batman! I have 2 of these guys on preorder and I cant wait for them!! Its the figure ive been looking most forward to after Tiger Wolverine.

Not sure how i feel about Iron Man. He doesnt really do anything for me, and with so many different Ironman figures out by so many different companies, I think i may stick with Sentinel for Iron Man Figures.

t1dc 01-07-2018 12:19 PM

to people that have multiple Mezco 1:12 - have the figures gotten smaller since the 1st wave or was Red Son Superman an exception?

Really disappointed how short Red Son was in comparison to Dark Knight and Dredd.

Toonstrack 01-07-2018 01:01 PM

Im probably gonna go for Iron Man and pose him with Revoltech Cap. That should look pretty cool.

I had thought about War Machine too but they may do a separate release for him.

My BvS Batman and Punisher are smaller than my DKR Batman.

Thanks for the info. That is really strange. I never thought to check the height of the figures because I assumed they all had the same scale.

After looking at BBTS Red Skull is 6 inches, Tactical Batman is 6.7, Deathstroke is 6.69, Deadpool is 6.3, Old Man Logan is 5.9. Don't understand why the scales on these are so varied.

Hulk Ragnarok clocking in at 7.87 is still a preorder for now but it just doesn't look good when Superman of all characters is shorter than the rest. Not a good look.

I think the DKR figures need to be treated like their own thing since the characters are very large in the comics. Mezco did create a prototype DKR Superman but it was shelved in favor of producing the BvS figs. With all of the upcoming figures, I don't see Mezco returning to the DKR Superman anytime soon.

I think a better comparison for the Red Son Superman is the upcoming Ascending Knight Batman since he'll be made on the newer style of bodies.

I am not overly concerned about the scale of these, the detail and wholeness of each figure sets this line apart.

Edit: Also noticed that the Iron Man has not went up for PRE yet.

RolandofGilead 01-08-2018 11:03 AM

No sign of Iron Man on BBTS.

I spoke to a rep, funny story, I called to confirm that Punisher was "sold out", as his "Buy Now" lit up on the website, it was sold out, so they had a few today, they guy told me that it sold out an hour after they put them up. I then asked about the Iron Man, he said Yes - it was going up at some point today.

That's craaaazy haha. I wonder what's the hold up with Iron Man? I don't think Mezco even has it up on their site yet either

EDIT: He's up on Mezco's site, just waiting on BBTS to post him up

Iron Man preorders are live. Retails at $90 due to diecast and light up features. Due to be released summer of this year surprisingly.

Whoa, die cast, and Light up? I suppose that forgives no alt heads.

t1dc 01-08-2018 01:25 PM

7.87 inches for Iron Man. Interested to see what variants they come up with for PX.

I have a hard time believing Mezco will release this year too.

Ha, yeah, I would be Shocked if they release this year, but I am hoping due to the increasing popularity they have upped production time lines, and will soon sort out their timing issues.

And Agree about the PX Releases, I would love to see a Fully Loaded War Machine, and possibly an updated armor as well.

RolandofGilead 01-08-2018 04:01 PM

War Machine and hopefully a Punisher War Machine as well.

jwyss234 01-08-2018 04:23 PM

Iron Man was first shown at NYTF 2017 so it's possible that he'll be released in 2018. They've had a year to work on him and they don't have to sew a costume on to him so his release should be more timely than some of the other figures.

if I have my dates correct I remember preordering Red Son Superman on 10/16 or 11/16. It shipped 1/18. And that figure was rather simple.

Isn't this Mezco's first die cast figure? I know next to nothing about the production requirements for figures but it seems like these might take longer to fabricate.

A link popped up in my email for Mezco Punisher, but when I followed it he was already Sold Out. I have the PX version but am desperate for the regular and Classic versions as well.

On a brighter note, my NYCC Wolverine showed up today.

According to the Wiki page for die casting, it's a pretty quick production process. The only real downside is that it costs more $$$$$.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_ca..._disadvantages

While several One 12 figures have simple costumes, the fabric costumes are an extra step in the production and manufacturing processes.
Pre-Production:
In addition to making sure all of the joints are the proper tightness and the paint is perfect on the figure, Mezco also has to make sure that the costumes are fitted properly and that any extra materials such as chest symbols are applied correctly.
Manufacturing:
Once the body is assembled and painted, the figure gets put inside a fabric costume. The costume is then sewn up the back by hand.

Jeddostotle7 01-09-2018 01:27 AM

While the height was originally listed as 20 cm (7.87 inches), they seem to have updated it to 18 cm (7.09 inches).
