That's pretty messed up then, sorry to hear that. Its surprising to see them going after people like that.

The reason someone can order 2 is there's lots of collectors who want one to open and one to keep in package. I think they just want to limit people pre-selling it; I mean it's even against eBay policy, preorders are against their rules. It does suck for you; they should have been clear about it instead of just swinging the hammer down.

After Comic Con there's nothing they can do. Unless they change their policy, last year you could buy 2 items total, but then just get back into line.

I hate to say it like this...but if you're immediately putting them up for sale on Ebay in the days after lucking out with them, only to have NECA cancel your order, chances are you are not going to find too much sympathy here for your plight...especially when so many of us couldn't get past NECA's inept storefront.

Looks like there's multiple pages of listings on ebay for the set that are all in the $200 range. So its odd that Neca would single out someone out like that, almost randomly.

I would assume they must have done some detective work; ie he's using the same username on eBay and like on twitter or his FB account is facebook.com/username and just figured it out. I didn't even realize until recently that my twitter showed my full real name if you looked there. I hardly use it anymore.

If you can buy two and you're selling two on eBay then you're a scalper and i have zero sympathy for you. You've gone in and picked these up with the intention of making a quick buck all the while denying a legit fan the opportunity to get a set. In turn you're now praying on their desperation. I really do hope NECA releases these single packed like last years exclussive. This way scalpers will get stuck with their purchase and those who actually want them can get them at a fair price.

This! And I don't care if you set the price at 120 and it rises to, let's say 200ish bucks, you purposely took two off the market that someone could've bought at the normal price, knowing desperate people would bid it up. Glad I didn't want this set!

Will the Dennis Parker and Samuel Brett figures from Alien or the animated TMNT Rocksteady and Bebop be future SDCC exclusives?

Bebop and Rocksteady, I thought, would go to Target in 2-packs like the toon Turtles. But they could very well end up in a con exclusive set beforehand.

Brett and Parker, as far as I'm aware, are going to be part of the Alien 40th Anniversary assortment later this year.

lol what are they going to have 10 sets available? I can't imagine how few this will open up.

But I'll still try and be disappointed.

Did they say that somewhere? According to Randy it is exactly the same as last time. The pricing in the article is just the general pricing info they released previously.

Thrilled NECA was able to sort a few bots and scalpers out of the crowd and boot ‘em. Hope a few more here can grab a set. These look amazing

Actually I do. Neca is basically showing some respect to honest clients that DO want the product.

Im sorry, but I disagree with you. It doesn't suck (to me. Personal opinion, i know... so offensive). Scalpers are getting what they deserve. They dont even have the item in hand, and they go straight to ebay to double/triple their money. These toy are for collectors, not scalpers. I have contacted NECA (if you agree with me, please consider contacting NECA also. Go to necaonline, the hit contact, then support. Select suggestion and tell them there.) and told them how much i appreciate what they are doing. Have a buddy doing the same. Hopefully this encourages them to do this more. I would love to help them if I could. Would love to see them ban accounts (for 2 or more infractions) because of this too. I suggested that to them also in my suggestion to them. If your reading this, THANK YOU NECA!!!

Here is a definition of Toy Scalping:
Scalping, in the context of toy collecting, refers to the practice of deliberately buying multiples of the same (usually "rare" or "popular", oftentimes both) toy with the intention of creating an artificial scarcity. Subsequently, the scalper will sell the toys again (usually on eBay), for a price much higher than the original store price, knowing that the high demand, coupled with the rarity of the toy (which is at least in part due to the scalping), will result in buyers being desperate enough to pay the prices the scalper asks for. In essence, scalpers are scum.

Sounds like scalping to me, but then again, in today's age, a man can just say he is a woman and boom! He is now a woman. A woman can say they want to be a man and boom! Be a man and get pregnant. So i guess a scalper can say he is not a scalper and be considered, not a scalper? The slogan of the scalper: "I'm just trying to help out a few fellow fans!"

Hopefully this discourages these same scalpers from trying it again next year and will make it a little easier for legitimate collectors to get the figures without a 30 second sell out.
