I had forgotten about that! It was a neat way to show she was still active and still had feelings for Batman. Honestly I like Phantasm so much I sincerely hope they never do anything with her again so she can stay preserved and special.

Found these on sale:

I think Zemo is my favourite, but most excited about being one right leg away from completing Mandroid. Excuse the wonky, fresh out of packaging poses.

I don't have a picture, but last Saturday I found the new First Order Tie Fighter Pilot. They also had a Resistance Troop, but First Order everything is cooler. ;)

I think in Canada they're even more!!! But they want $25 for the 6 inch ones!

Finally got around to grabbing one of the Target sets, even though I have the Vision and had no interest in the Hulk. Just like so many others are doing, wanted to pilfer that Ultron body, which looks decent enough to do a Silvermane head swap/kit-bash when my Spider-Man wave comes in...

I'll be putting up the other two figures on Ebay this week. Anyone interested, (provided you are in the US, sorry, I don't do international shipping...) lemme know in a PM and I'll send you a link...

She shows up in the last volume of the Batman Beyond comic but she didn't do much. Still it was cool to see her again.

The resistance trooper does look really boring, especially because there was no ground battle between the groups so the guy the toy is based on is a blink and you miss him deal. The only people who encountered any troopers were just the heroes.

It would have been weird if she weren't aged.
I just really like everything about the Phantasm. It's a cool look, it's a solid mystery, and Andrea was well delivered as an actual character with motivations not just "oh look it's Batman's ex-fiancee."

They did a perfect job keeping her in character too. Gotta give props to Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. They're writing stays consistently good.

Remember though these are comic characters.... lol some characters they seem have them stay a certain look for decades.

Same with the Guavian Enforcer, it was a very short scene. He was only there long enough for the walking Sarlacc to eat!

Yeah but there were like four or more Guavian enforcers and they stood still behind their liaison for a good while so we could get a good look at 'em, as dispensable as they may be. The Resistance Trooper that the toy was specifically based on was a very brief "blink and you miss it" passerby who was not identical to the other troops. I will say regarding the Guavians that I'm glad they pretty much all looked alike with very minor differences so it justifies some people having already purchased multiple of them prior to seeing the film. The Rathtars were a little weird to me, they seemed like they would've been better suited in Guardians of the Galaxy than in Star Wars but that could be just me. This isn't really the thread for this stuff though so let's carry it over to the appropriate threads if we feel so inclined to continue, I'd rather not go on and even potentially spoil anything significant on a non-SW thread.

Found all these between Target and Gamestop on clearance, the Joker was a surprise at $7.30 "as-is" (just opened him up and absolutely nothing wrong with the fig).

Great haul! If you are going to open that Liv Moore figure, is there any way you could let me know how tall she is in inches? I think she'd work well for a civilian clothes Gwen Stacy custom with the alternate head from the ML Spider-Gwen, but I'm worried about the scale. Thank you!

I think you found them on sale because they packed the figures upside-down...Lol

juggernaut209 01-15-2016 10:00 AM

Lucked out again with the third wave of Walmart Black Series, there was a fresh case going on the pegs while I was at the store. This happened when I found series 2 as well, which is lucky because these are the only times I’ve come across these figures. They disappear quickly once they are put out.

I bought a Liv last week and she is very small for the standard Marvel Select scale, but the actress is only 5'3". She might work as an adult scale Gwen for Legends but she is about the same size as the adult female legends. If you wanted to make her a Select scale Gwen to go with the new Spider Man select coming that might scale better.
