Picked up the DC Multiverse Batman vs. Solomon Grundy pack from my local Toys R Us today for £14.99. Not something I've seen in retail before so it was a cool surprise! The Solomon figure could easily have a few more joints but still, I think he's great. Batman has a little trouble standing but he's not too bad. My first 3.75" Batman too, at long last.

snake5289 01-23-2016 03:24 PM

I got that set for Christmas. Grundy's awesome but I gave the Batman to my niece.

Well he is a reuse of Ghost from the (now) older SDCC set.

Hasbro's motto: "We made those molds and damnit we're gonna use the everloving shit out of them."

Ninjinister 01-23-2016 07:55 PM

THEY MAKE FORCE UNLEASHED FIGURES WITH MORE THAN 5 POA IN 3.75!?!

WHOA!

I don't collect SW but I've been getting a few for custom fodder and having better articulation would kick ass!

They made plenty of "Force Unleashed" figures that had more than 5 POA back when the game first came out. They also redid Starkiller with the last Black Series line before it went Walmart Exclusive...

Now...if you're referring to the "Force Awakens"...yeah...they make those too. Good luck finding them though, due to them being Walmart Exclusives. Outside of Han, Chewie, Vader and EP 6 Luke, I've yet to see any of the rest at any of my local Walmarts. You would think that Hasbro would have learned their lesson from the dark days of Marvel Legends when it came to making things Walmart Exclusives...

Haha...it's alright man..I just wanted to be sure. I've been guilty of it myself, calling the new movie "The Force Unleashed" more than one time in conversation at the workplace. Guess I got the games on my mind...lol.

They are not cheap enough for custom fodder and are a bitch to find. I had to stop by 3 wal marts just to find them (I was driving my mom around so I didn't mind) but the paint on Rey was iffy which is probably why she was still on the pegs.

Agreed. I've been checking my local wal marts and until last night all I could find was Poe, Finn, and that vader with like swivel elbows?
I'm not a big Star Wars collector but I really liked Rey and ren in the new movie. I hope they make more of these and sell them at more places than just Wally World as I mainly collect 3.75" stuff.

That's no excuse. It shouldn't make them bankrupt to make a new lower arm mold.. Especially when you look at their big picture and see how many retools, repaints, repacks, and re-uses, they've been releasing. It's nuts. You'd think they could at the very least add some modern articulation to a previously used mold.

Oh well.

Dreadnox 01-24-2016 09:10 AM

Opened Morbius and took a look at him also

It's no excuse but it is an explanation. It probably wouldn't cost that much to address the issue but the fact that it costs nothing to change nothing sounds so much sweeter to Hasbro.

Picked up the McFarlane Iron Throne building set at GameStop for $15. Such a great build. Can't wait for the Mother of Dragons set!

I just found some great stuff at my local flea market and haggled each down a little from the asking price. Firstly I found Moon Knight #1 in really good condition (great cover quality with only a few minor spine creases and lightly yellowed pages on the outside) and talked it down to $15, this isn't a terribly sought after or expensive book (the average price for one in good quality ungraded is usually around $20 or $30) but Moon Knight is such a favorite of mine that I had to get it. Then I was rummaging through a small toy box another seller had and found all three parts to NECA's Iron Maiden Phantom of the Opera figure. Regularly I've seen this figure go for at least around $150 mint in box and then at least $50 or so loose so finding the figure with both base pieces and all labels still attached with an asking price of $25 that I got down to $20 was pretty cool.

They did but it's an older one so it isn't quite as good as the current figures. I would get it if it weren't for the way they made his cloak and his kinda ugly ball hips. They made the cloak too smooth especially around his face reckoning which depiction they were using as their source and then it doesn't sit all the way down on his shoulders. I'm hoping they might do his recent Mr Knight look, a Select figure of that would be a must buy for me.

Trivial Psychic 01-24-2016 10:02 PM

As simple of a figure as it was...the Marvel Legends Moon Knight was always one of my favorites. Hoping the rumors of Iron Fist being cancelled in favor of new series for Moon Knight on Netflix comes true. I've always thought Moon Knight was a fascinating character who would seem far better suited to the darker side of the MCU that Netflix has been crafting over Iron Fist.

Kirathis 01-24-2016 11:23 PM

Moon Knight would definitely be a good choice as an addition for the darker and grittier feel of the MCU Netflix series. I am really looking forward to seeing what they do with Punisher since they have already talked about his own series. That being said, I still want Iron Fist as well.

snake5289 01-24-2016 11:41 PM

I thought they already confirmed that they dropped Iron Fist for a Punisher series because of how much they liked him on Daredevil season 2 so much?
